I've also been having that kind of feeling. I don't like the overabundance of super powerful gods as of late in general. It has changed the dynamic quite a bit: while climbing the god hierachy has been a thing since Karin and Kami, the latest DB media overdid it. It used to be all about struggling with more and more powerful enemies that Goku and the rest had to surpass, now since Beerus we got introduced into ridiculously OP characters to whom everyone else is a plaything.WittyUsername wrote:I'm not sure whether or not this qualifies as an unpopular opinion at the moment, but I honestly think that Zeno is pretty annoying as a character. I'm not a fan of overly-cutesy characters in general, but the fact that Zeno is established as this all-powerful being that everyone else respects, and whom can never be surpassed no matter what, just feels like it kind of goes against the primary theme of Dragon Ball. I just don't like the idea that every other character in the series is at the mercy of this guy.
Plus there's another issue related to this. The DB world has been trying to expand lately, but all it did in the process was in fact contract: there was all the hype about OMG 12 UNIVERSES YEEEAAAH and we don't know that much about them (because let's face it, 12 at once is too much) and the recent revelation about only 28 inhabited planets in U7 (I know people are trying to justify it with all their power as of lately but that idea gives me a WAY different feeling than the beginning of DBZ, Freeza saga and Buu saga gave me there). Less is more sometimes, but just as often less is less.
