I've never even heard of it... Of course I've never really looked for it, either...

I don't think so. Information books are usually never brought into other countries and are almost never fully translated.

It is the French edition of Daizenshuu #7. They also released #1. The only books released outside of Japan are the aforementioned and Spain's edition of Daizenshuu #1, Complete Illustrations. Unfortunately there are no English editions of any of the Daizenshuu.

My Danish Daizenshuu #1 disagrees.

Daizenshuu 1 came out in many languages. I've seen it in Japanese, French, German and now Danish. What about English, Viz? I mean, you're releasing these kanzenban-like releases! You translated One Piece Colour Walk! What's the hold up?

Exactly, and what's more, they've released quite a few FMA books in English, including the Anime profile book, meaning they could easily work with FUNi to have an English release of all of the Daizenshuu.

Viz doesn't need to work with FUNi for that. FUNi only has the rights to the anime. Viz would just have to secure the rights from Shueshia to release the book(s) stateside. Perhaps they think there's no market for a Dragonball art book? Which is dumb considering the new Viz Big manga re-releases.

Most of the books contain some information related directly to the anime - Viz may have to get the okay from Funi to produce those books.

Then again, I don't know anything about American copyrights.

Not Daizenshuus, no (though, I'm not sure how much I'd like to read an encyclopedia to DragonBall "translated" by the people who claim Arale is Dr. Slump's wife anyway).

There are, however, these goodies:

Poster Magazine (also includes a technique guide)

How to draw DragonBall Z.

All of the Daizenshuu books have released in Chinese for the Hong Kong market by Citicomics and they are all long gone & out of print.
The world is your's.

Oh, I thought we were talking about Daizenshuu 1 specifically. That is a good question to ponder, I think FUNimation would have to contribute in the translation of the books, more than anything for the dub's terminology. A good chunk of the books are anime-related, so FUNi's cooperation would be expected, if not need.

However, it shouldn't stop Viz from releasing Daizenshuu #1 under the "Art of Shonen Jump" line.

Woah, woah, woah. Where can I attain this lovely German Daizenshuu? (It has to be shipped to the US, so count ebay.de or ebay.at out.)

I would say it's a normal artbook. There is almost no information in the German one.
If you want it, amazon.de could be your place.^^
