To bring down your file size, do a File > Save for Web. Even at 80% you can bring down your jpegs to 10% of thier original size.

original image 80x80 jpeg at 12 quality (17.7 KB)

'File' > 'Save for Web'

New optimized jpeg (1.99 KB)

Just selecting 'JPEG High' cuts the size down 89%

Ok, everytime I post one of the avatars from the first page post, something happens to it as in dissapears. I don't know if its because its over the size limit (which I checked and its 80x80) or something screwy with my computer.

I'm not a computer whiz so any help would be appreciated.

You're probably linking the image straight from anglefire.com What you should do is save it to your computer and then upload it to ImageShack.

Or, if you're using FireFox, right-click on the image and select Copy Image Location. Again, go to ImageShack and this time select URL and Right-click>Paste and host it.
