Something to make the decision a little bit easier:

I've gotta go back to school starting on the 29th, so I probably won't be able to make most of the recordings.

Oh my lord...

Anyway...

Just because you're going to school doesn't mean you can't record at all, right? I'm sure you'll be able to make time for it.

To make it fair, I'll recruit one or two folks who aren't auditioning and talk it over with them. Jack's been on a lot recently, if he's up for it again. Maybe Rick or someone else, too. Anyone think they're up for it and wanna volunteer?

Oh dear.

As grim as this may sound, you're right, that does make things "easier." Would this completely negate your ability to record lines, or might you still be able to?

The 29th? Freaky.

I've given everybody's auditions a listen-over, and you're all very good. I'll leave the auditions open 'till Wednesday, like I said. Just to give any stragglers a chance to get something in if they so please, and I'm busy.

Where's Kino, where's the script, where's the KEVRG, when shall Tullece be chosen, when will recording start, where's Tenken, where's your dog, and is everybody still participating?

Answers:

Coming back imminently from what she's told Conan, I'm working on the technical aspects of it while waiting just a little bit longer for Kino's script, auditions end Wednesday and I hope to have someone picked by the weekend which I would still like one or two people to volunteer to help me with, when I finish the KEVRG (what the Sam Hill does that stand for anyhoo), he hasn't posted since February so I'm gonna e-mail him and hopefully get him back, outside pooping, and yes.

In that order.

Great! I'm still in. Although I'm still very confused on this "Kaboom's Excellent Visual Recording Guide." I mean, what the heck is that for? It's maybe somewhere in the last few pages.. but I'm lazy. Hehe.

It's essentially a group of clips from the movie with each individual character's lines displayed as subtitles. They will be distributed to the VAs so that they can better sync what's being said to the characters' mouths.

I believe it stands for 'Kaboom's Extreme Visual Recording Guide'. You got it wrong, so that means you're a dumbo. :P

Ladies and gentlemen...

We have ourselves a final script!

Download that sucker!
EDIT: Updated link

Kino just e-mailed it to me tonight; she was very apologetic about it being late. But the fact that she came through and got it to us is good enough for me. Anyone rags on her about it, and they'll have to deal with me, and I've been taking Soo Bahk Do for a whole month now! Hyaa!

I'm still giving it the final read-over, and after that I'll make the KEVRG (I like "E is for Excellent"; it's got that bodacious, 'Bill and Ted' kind of vibe to it) but I see no reason why you guys can't start practicing your lines and delivery. Don't go seriously recording anything "final" yet; the timing and such will probably be off without the KEVRG. But you can record for practice, if you want. In fact, I'd encourage it. It'll help you get used to recording at all, and help you figure out how to make your recordings sound as clean and good as possible.

I'll PM all our VAs another reminder about it. This is it, guys! With Acid_Reign's help, I should have the KEVRG done in a flash, and we'll be recording! I TOLD you it'd happen eventually!

Also, still looking for volunteers to help me pick a Tullece. Namely, those among you who didn't audition. :)

Also, I e-mailed Tenken, and he's still our sound d00d.

I R EXCITED.

It feels... strange knowing that everything is about to start... I've got butterflies in my tummy... :P When we first got started, we had no idea what we were in for.

Ah yes... everything is going 100% perfect. Y'know, we could've just quit those many months ago. But we didn't. Kaboom, I applaud you; you had the spirit and strength to help us see this through. Good work.

Oi Vey. Before I do anything, I've really gotta give my laptop a good cleaning and defrag. After moving around and playing with those huge files, most of which I deleted now, things are running REALLY slow...

All the various versions of them I was playing around with did, yes. But now, I've deleted everything save for the new .mp4's you made, the original .vob's, and the .wav's to go along with them.

I've got a lot of other crap slowing my computer down, too. I've gotta clear up some memory somehow. I already uninstalled Ultimate Spider-Man...

Well, you can delete the VOBs and WAVs too if that helps, as the MP4s essentially have the same content as both of those (albeit resized/compressed), including the same timecode.

As for RAM, try something like Cacheman.
