I'm done with "The Community". I'm sick and tired of hearing people bitch and moan about this and that. I'm on this forum now because of the live action movie coming out. I buy the season sets because they're so cheap and it's the easiet way to get the whole series. I already have the entire comic, which is far superior to the TV show. It's wrong to call the people who buy the sets "idiots". Correct me if I'm wrong, but NEARLY everyone on this website who bitches about the season sets has paid for them in some form or another.

Oh.. trhen not-so-see-ya... But be prepared for more bitching in the live action movie thread. I don't think you'll see so much bitching at http://www.dragonballmovieblog.com/ though.

Don't justify things to people you're done with.

Quoted for truth.

Again, don't justify things to people you're done with.

Overall, I can see things from your perspective, though. There are essentially two times that I'll leave the forum for awhile: when the news is super slow and when the bitching is too much. I know I bitch and moan like a lot of other fans (of anything), but after awhile even I get tired of it and move on for a bit. But, you've also got the "Fuck you, I'm buying the Season Sets" thing sitting on your shoulders. So, it must be difficult.

Either way, no reason to give up completely. Just take a break. 8)

So very true. It didn't look very cinematic to me, you know with the awkwardly chopped off heads and washed out/fucked up colors. Then again, that's just me.
This is when a little thing called "imagination" kicks in! :D

But seriously, I think some people are over-exagerrating just a little bit. The widescreen isn't even taking off that much, maybe a few inches. I don't know about anyone else, but when I watch it regularly, I don't really pay attention to the couple extra inches anyway.
As for the color issue. I'll have to go back and look at that, I haven't really have a change to compare it to originals yet.

To be honest, if your big debate in life is, "Oh my God, they're butchering my favorite cartoon!" Then there's something wrong there.

Oh, please, I've seen you write books whenever someone disagrees with you regarding Funimation and the season sets.

There are a few people on this forum that need calm down and get a little perspective, and you're definitely one of them.

lol So I like to write. So what? It's not like I'm on here debating. I'm just giving my opinion. When I'm online, I'm bored, and so writing a lot on this helps me pass the time. The second I go out or whatever, I don't even think about what I typed. And I don't care. Whenever I come on here, I don't even remember what I typed to who about what. The problem is I have to repeat myself over and over and over again for the people who don't understand what I wrote, or don't read, or whatever. It's like I type something, someone comes on and disputes something, and it's obvious that they missed something. So I gotta do it again. It's a very weird process. Long story short, I have the series, great, good, I don't care. It doesn't consume my life or run my life. The only time I talk about DBZ is when I come on here, because I like it and I'm really bored. So if anyone sees that as anything more than that, then...sorry? lol

The Dragonball fan-community does kind of piss me off at times. Dragonball is a fantasy, but its fans have no imagination. Maybe I'm just in with the wrong crowd. For example on a certain thread on a certain board, someone pointed out that the androids from Trunk's time may not have actually been weaker then the present Androids, despite Trunks directly stating that they were.

He gave a pretty good case for it, basically it boils down to Trunks saying he could fight against his androids for a bit.. however when he goes back to his own time #18 asks if she can "just kill him" this time, and #17 complains that they'll lose their toy. All this really means is that the future androids were just toying with Trunks every time they fought him, and thats why he could last a little bit against them, not becuase they were weaker then the present-day androids.

But then everyone completly shot down the theory saying "no, it's directly stated.. there is no debating this, your theory sucks". No one has any imagination in the Dragonball fan community, at least not the one I came from.

That's why I join and read about 3 or 4 forums at a time, so if one pisses me off then I can just go to the other one for a while. You're sure to find someone more open minded on another forum.

LOL, I'm doing it right now actually. FUNi Forums, here, Anime Nation, my forums.

I really don't. But I kind of get defensive when a guy dressed up as a grasshopper calls me an idiot because I bought something that he doesn't like. Kind of a dumb reason to get mad, but damn, I hate when people look down on others.

Funny fact: That's not me in my avatar. It's a random guy in what I thought was a terribly funny Piccolo cosplay. I think it's funny when people think that having something as your avatar means it must be you. Look at Daimao's avatar as of example of how this is faulty reasoning.

In other news...

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. Go back. Read my posts. Don't be dumb. kthx.

I think I'm going to start a betting pool for how many people have assumed that's you and used it as an argument to poke holes in your statements. It's seems like it's been at least a dozen people at this point. I'll be rich in no time! XD

That's possibly one of the most true statements ever made about the community.

I think we've all felt that way since 1998.

You all need to get laid. Sorry, but even if there was nothing to complain about and FUNimation each gave you the Dragon Boxes for free with English subtitles by God himself, you would still complain you got smudges on it and now it's ruined.

I understand you don't like widescreen and the remastering. Fine. Go find the dragon boxes or buy the old DVDs. I understand you don't like the movie even though it isn't even released. Fine, have fun being miserable.

You're all worse than emo goths.

Heh heh, let me guess....you frequent MFG, GameFAQs, and 4chan a lot don't you?

How many times does it have to be stated that this thread isn't just about the Dragonboxes(yes I realize they're a big part of things currently), but the current state of the fandom as a whole? Honestly..... -_-

FindKenshi: I agree with Castor that that's a very poignant statement you made. As long as you don't mind, I'll likely use that as one of my all time favourite quotes about DB in the future. 8)
