lol yea.

About Dragonball, I dont wanna give an opinion yet based on 2 photos/pictures. But as far as its going, I dont like much the fact that Goku is going to Highschool, nor the fact that its Piccolo the one who tells him hes a Saiyan. That should have been left for Raditz in the next part if they were ever going to make one.

A few days ago I went to yahoo films and saw that Akira Toriyama is also involved and that Wong guy is also fan of the series, so lets hope they dont ruin it.

Lets wait and see.

I hope Akira Toriyama is involved in it somewhat.

And Fushar, instead of posting 2 consecutive posts, use the edit feature please.

No Akira Toriyama is NOT involved in it at all.
I don't care if you trust me or not, but one my friend from Japan who is very informed about anime & Jap in general, told me that Akira is also terrified with the movie, and that he never liked the idea of DB/Z Live action movie at the first place.

I am not talking this cuz I think so, I am pretty sure that he told me that.
Though he might be wrong of course, but I DOUBT!

Yeah Mr.Toriyama is friends with everyone in Japan and has them all over for tea on Fridays to discuss Dragonball related matters.

Ok... so how do you explain this article? Granted it's from 2002, but somehow I doubt Toriyama has changed his position much.

Could you atleast make an effort to type properly. There's a little something called grammar?

On topic: Let's say Akira Toriyama is indeed involved with this film, it would be pretty awesome if he somehow makes a cameo appearance during the movie.

Hi Vegeta, I have read some of your posts, and you have some fair points and worries that we all do, but you are wrong in this one. Akira Toriyama, the genius and master is involved http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1098327/

Take a look at that link.

Unless Toriyama is brought on as a producer or consultant, he wont have any say as to how the movie ends up.

And as for Toriyama's name being there, notice how it says (comic) next to his name? He's credited as the original author, nothing more.

I spy the use of "Akira" and "Jap"... ugh...

If Toriyama granted the rights, what makes you think that he's AGAINST the movie? Besides, he's probably getting quite a bit of money out of it, he probably couldn't care less how it turns out. Toriyama never struck me as an art purist.

I have a feeling there's a very good reason VegettoEX doesn't post on his forums often. >.>

Oh well, possiblally eight more years to wait, and we'll get the 25th anniversary remake movie of the Pilaf saga (if there ever will be one)

Two questions - 1) What does all of that translate to. Is there a button I can click somewhere on the site to do that?
2) Why does the one English post there say that it's a joke? Is it really cancelled or not?

EDIT: Haha. Apparently, it IS a joke. Some sort of Mexican version of April Fool's day.

Geez, JAPPO, don't scare me like that.

Relax it's a mexican holiday on December 28th it's a joke.

from live action anime post:

""Confirmed, the movie Dragon Ball Z has been cancelled and this has been confirmed by the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Durango, director James Wong has contacted her to say that the shooting was no longer reinciara in Durango in January next, because the hostile reception they had given him to fans to the development of history with the first photos of the shooting and information to be filtered has not made further in the draft, preferring better to leave intact the memories of fans on Dragon Ball waiting to see if in a year or two might have a better script that leaves satisfied fans ..."

Or perhaps not...

At the bottom of the article it says:

It says something about Happy Day of Innocent. Which I'm guessing is like April Fools day. So yeah... Happy Day of Innocent or whatever.

This is what it said:

"INOCENTE PALOMITA, you fool left knowing that in this day you have to rely on anybody ... jajaja no confies en el Joker No trust in the Joker

FELIZ DIA DE LOS INOCENTES HAPPY DAY OF INNOCENT

aunque supongo que muchos hubieran querido que esta historia fuera verdad, pero no es una broma de los inocentes jaja Although I suppose that many would have liked to see this story were true, but it is not a joke of the innocent jaja "

I gotta say they got me. They knew exactly what to say cause they must know how bad this movie looks also. I was pretty happy for a little bit."

Will someone PLEASE give an accurate translation of that? Is the entire movie actually canceled, or is it just the filming in Mexico? This far into production, canceling the entire thing seems extremely unlikely.

Oh God, please don't let it be true... According to Google's horrible translation, some people are saying it's a joke...
Even Google's "horrible translation" is enough.

HAPPY DAY OF INNOCENT

Although I suppose that many would have liked to see this story were true ... But it is a joke of the innocent jaja
And a note following that reads...
NOTE: Here in Mexico on December 28 is celebrated on the day of the holy innocents being due to memories of the massacre of all children under two years of age born in Bethlehem, ordered by King Herod to get rid of the newborn Jesus of Nazareth ... So we tend to make all kinds of jokes ... Only clarifies what if there are some confused jaja
I guess it's a day in Mexico where people screw with eachother... Kind of like April Fools but with more of a significant back-story...?

EDIT: Okay. Now that we're clear, my post is useless... Oh well...
