"A live-action Dragon Ball movie? Dragon Ball...That name sure sounds familiar. Didn't that use to be on TV or something? Well, whatever. Time for my 12:00 cup of lead paint!"

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if his thoughts on the end result were actually along the lines of "Hm, so that's how the Americans interprate my story, they're so weird."

Marsters seems to really be getting into the role and stuff. Was he a fan of the series before he was casted? He really seems to have some knowledge on the series.

Oh, Dragonball is the coolest television cartoon in the last 50, 000 years...
Is it really fair to say it's the coolest television cartoon in the last 50,000 years when television was made avalible maybe only... 70 years ago? :?

Also, I've got a feeling Marsters is going to make this movie.

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you guys. I meant the real fan demographic is 13-25, while the projected (what producers and what not think) demographic is probably 7-14.

I have been a fan since 1997 by the way, I am an old geezer.

Toriyama's always really written with a family-esque audience in mind, at least that's how I see some of his work. :D

All I want from this movie is a bloody final battle and a good performance from Marsters and Chow Yun-Fat.

Anything else is just an added bonus.

Wow, they had James Marsters talk about the movie in the latest TV Guide? I'm gonna have to look for that so I can read it for myself (would they really quote the whole article on that page? I want to see if there's more). Neat! :D
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Marsters gives me more hope for this movie than everything else combined.

Big Momma wrote: Well, the people who watched dragonball back at its peak in America(Who are hopefully who this movie is aimed at) are at least old enough for R rated movies.(I was about 10 when I really got into dragonball back in 2000, and I'm 17 now.)
I was 13 in 1999 when I was introduced to it and I'm 21 now.

But seriously, an R rated Dragonball movie? Dont be stupid...

Are...are you seriously complaining about articles now?
Yes he seriously is.

He fails to realize Justin Chatwin, as they describe in the article...
Not that kind of article. Articles are a subcategory of adjectives that includes the words "the," "a," and "an." Image

...That reminds me, a year ago or so I said I was going to eat Toriyama's hat if this movie was ever actually made. But he can afford to buy a bunch of new hats from the royalties he'll get from this. He can even buy me one, too, and a round trip ticket to Japan so all these hat antics can actually take place.

''Shakespearean sense''
Although I like the way he puts it, it makes me wonder how much of the real story he has read/seen.
By the way who's the kid supposed to be in the pictures next to Chatwin ?

Just little bit about target audience:
Dragon Ball is for everyone who want to watch it, regardless of race, gender, age and etc...
I think Toriyama said that once in one television show.
And the age-logos on DB DVDs or VHSs are something that is written just becuase of law...

If you say "I am now 30, I think I shouldn't watch DB anymore" than you limited yourslef, and no one else...
That is the way how I think of it...

As for me, I'll PROUDLY watch DB/Z/GT while I'm alive.
