That's some quickly degrading expectations.
When I said those, I meant them all the same way, "not spectacular, but not bad".

pretend it's better than it is.
I'm not, I think it was "not spectacular, but not bad"

But anyway, you have your opinion and I have mine.

@SSj Kaboom, yes I agree Magic begins sucked incredibly, but I really really don't see WHY is this any better? Is it just because it's High budghet?!
does just one word "high budged" tells all? What about the actual look of the movie and it's story???
If you just want a movie cuz of special effects, than I can make you one :D and then you can join our "against" side, c'mooon we have cookieeeees :D
Okay, whereas before you were forcing your opinion down everyone's throats like it's fact, now you're just being a prick. Both in your choices of apparently deliberate horrible grammar/spelling, as well as talking us down in a childish and annoying "I'm so innocent :D" manner. Seriously, stop. This is supposed to be a mature forum for discussion, at least Jappo can keep that in mind much more often than yourself.

And what does that have to do with anything?

Your humble opinion, that I happen to strongly disagree with. ;p

I don't want to get into arguing "was Transformers a good movie". I've stated my case on that, and serious objectors can take it up through PMs. The point is this: this new movie looks to be about the same as Transformers. That's it.

New stuff from Eriko Tamuri's(AKA Mai) blog:
Shooting is going really well! Everyone is surprised. My part is very interesting, but I still cannot talk about it. Jim, Producer Tim, and Peter, who had flown to the set the day before yesterday, as well as the crew, are all in good spirits.

My wardrobe is very diverse, and it takes a long a time to put on the make up and decide the clothes I wear for certain scenes. Some of the wardrobe for certain scenes has not appeared as of yet. A studio movie like this is a very time consuming job for everyone.

Moreover, I am very honored to be working with the competent Chow Yun Fat. Our first scene filmed together was last week, for 2 or more hours, in the interior of a mountain. We met, and he greeted me very kindly. We were able to talk, and he seems like an interesting, gentle person.

Most likely Roshi's island, though no pictures have been "officially" confirmed, including this.

Hey, that was below the belt. Don't compare Pokemon to Dragon Ball. That's embarrassing.

I'm not sure what you've been reading that makes a children's comic a masterpiece.

Who said a children's comic can't be a masterpiece? It's been around for 20 or so years and it's still going strong in one form or another. It helped shaped to what we see as "modern shonen" today. Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, etc.,

I'll stand strong by my opinion. I view it as a classic or masterpiece. Nothing more.
Oh please. Rolling Eyes I guess that means Pokemon is a masterpiece too?
Last time I checked, Pokemon wasn't based off of a manga (though it had various comic adaptations). I don't know much of the subject of Pokemon, but the series hasn't really ended has it? So I can't really comment much of it as whole. While I understand your sarcasm, yes their both shows for kids, but the ideas & concepts presented in the Dragon Ball series appeal more to all ages as a whole.

Anyone want to guess what The Hobbit's audience is? Or The Lord of the Rings?

OMG 12-14 year olds? They can't be masterpieces!

It doesn't even have much to do with the age group. Dragonball is great but it's diluted with so much stupid crap and filler (entire second half of DBZ, GT). It might be an epic, but definitely not a masterpiece. It's not the pinnacle of anime. It's not the pinnacle of anything. That's what must be done for it to be a masterpiece, IMO.

Your complaint is that there's filler? Then the manga's fine then?

No.
filler and stupid crap
Although, criticizing a manga for being stupid is like criticizing a midget for being short, so....

Well, when regarding Dragon Ball as a whole, I'm referring to the original manga. Anything doing with the animated series is completely irrelevant. I've pretty said everything I needed to say as to why I think Dragon Ball is a masterpiece from both a perspective on the story to the influence it had in Japan and the Shonen genre as a whole. It was the pinnacle of Shonen Jump's "Golden Era" if anything.

I've been listening to some harder music to access the edge inside me to bring to the character, some Lincoln Park and Dream Theater. I'm enjoying developing the character and training, learning to ride a motorcycle has been thrilling.. Its manual, so I've been learning all about clutch and throttle (don't laugh, this is all new to me!) And I think I'll be able to drive a stick-shift car after this film too!

Right now I am writing from a helicopter (with my costars, Chow Yun Fat, his lovely wife and Joon Park). We are on our way to the desert where we will be filming for the the next few days. I am the lucky one who gets to sit up front with the pilot (who was very careful to instruct me not to touch anything; knobs, controls or otherwise) Chow and Joon are taking pictures in the back and we are having a lot of fun. The landscape is alternating between, rolling sand dunes, green mountains dotted with cactus and farms layed out in geometric order with terracotta colored earth.
-----

Now stop saying it's nothing like the manga.
