Has anyone else realised this?

But is the Freeza Saga a lot like World War II? I'm no World War II expert, but I got these basic things:

Freeza (Adolf Hitler) killed a huge number of Namekians (Jews) and holds a grudge against Saiyans (Could also represent Jews).

Vegeta (Communist Russia) joins forces with Kuririn, Gohan, Piccolo, and Goku (U.S.) to defeat Freeza (Germany).

I think you're reading too much into it. Poeple like to think everything nowadays is a WWII allegory. While I don't doubt that that era influenced and shaped Toriyama's generation's views/experiences, it's unlikely to that much of an extent.

You're all fools, it's obviously an allegory for post-structuralist discontinuity.

I think the Saiyans could represent Americans possibly. Or the Polish.

Well, this has certainly been the lightest thread I've seen in a while. Thank you, Rocketman (and everyone else). :D

*doesn't have anything really witty to say to contribute, so just stops there*
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

I read somewhere once that Toriyama intended Freeza to represent Europe, hence his affection for all of those kinds of "fine things" Europeans enjoyed during their imperialist conquests. Like wine.

Off topic, though this thread has deviated waay off the original subject anyway):Freeza drinks wine? Holy shit, I thought water was all he needed, because, as you know, Funimation seems to be on some serious coke thinking Freeza's alleged "Namekian heritage" makes it that he does NOT require food to maintain his shape. Just as Viz has Buu a dijin Mr.Popo-lookalike the final villian who iz pierced bai the lazer gunz, "Hercule," and a rotting vegetable being pent up as the strongest character, with his lips inked in because he just can't live without his lipstick. XD, and MY SCREENNAME WAS MR. SATAN BECAUZE AI AM the WRESTLERZ~~~~~

On topic: I don't see Hitler invading Pakistan/Israel for the sake of immortality and saying "I want to caress these balls lmfao!1!!!!" Oh wait, that's the dub. -is shot-

Seriously, though, when I first heard a description of a Super Saiyan (WAY back in '97), the first thing that came to my mind is "Aryan." Blonde hair. Blue eyes. Japanese. It's a perfect fit!
