I hope there's an animated (2-D) opening.

What I don't get is in the promotional art for the game, all the characters have a cel outline, yet in game they do not, which to me instead of being an artistic choice, seems like they ran into technical difficulties.
My guess is that because when you do the cel-outline effect in a 3d game, it makes that character model or object, twice as complex, which probably affected the frame-rate (which people that play fighting games are nuts about)

That sucks. Though I do understand it as I guess they wanted to see how the game was before they need to address things like fusion , The diffrent Buu's Majin Vegeta ect....mystic trunks wrote:Just like B1, this game cuts off the Buu saga.
But the way the describe story mode to me sounds like Tenkichu 3 (which I loved) but turned up a notch which should be great.
I just hope they haven't left Buu saga odd for the sole purpose of realising an add-on for Downloadable content as that would just be annoying.

I can't remember the Japanese box art, but if you're talking about the "Tenkaichi 2" art for USA/EUR where Trunks was holding his sword up, aren't different pictures of Goku on the blade itself?Duo wrote:All DBZ game covers look the same nowadays...
I'd like one that tried to be different, like Goku kicking a fish.
Or no Goku at all!
At least Neo had that.

The Japanese cover for Sparking! Neo did in fact feature Goku front and center, in pretty much exactly the same pose as the cover for Meteor.
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?

Only US had that with TrunksCaptain Awesome wrote:I can't remember the Japanese box art, but if you're talking about the "Tenkaichi 2" art for USA/EUR where Trunks was holding his sword up, aren't different pictures of Goku on the blade itself?Duo wrote:All DBZ game covers look the same nowadays...

The cover looks okay, not amazing nor bad. I think Vegeta should be on it too, since he's the bad guy in the Sayajin Saga.

GameSpot has a new game play video up. The video answers a lot of questions.

Atleast Donny Clay acknowledged the developers, instead of pretending he actually helped make the game like he did with Sparking! Meteor.
The game looks great, but I was distracted by the moronic comments like "The anime is dated, so yes our game does look better than the show"
Bleh, am I the only one that's annoyed that when we finally have the technology available to recreate the show perfectly visually, the creators don't bother?
I want backgrounds that look like they're hand painted, I want the aura effects to resemble the brushstroke like effects they used in the show (Shin Budokai did a pretty good job at that).
Super DBZ for instance did a great job at pulling off the manga look, there's no reason they can't do the same for the anime.
