Yes. But thats different. When that Dragonball movie was made, it was made by the creators of the anime (and it probably had input from Toriyama, considering he had input with the series). Its one thing when the original creators make some alterations for an animated movie adaptation of their own series. Its a completely different thing when some random Hollywood company like Fox comes along ,buys the rights to thwe script and then starts taking liberties with their alterations of that original script.

People are entitled to be pissed off.

I think the point to be made here is that there are significant changes being made to the story for the new live action movie. If you don't have a problem with that, fine - but many people believe that, at least some, of the changes are bad.

Can that end it? It's clear we can't have a decent discussion about the film because someone will inevitably jump in at one extreme or the other and appear to be taking the discussion very personally.

I agree about only a black guy being able to do Piccolo justice. I say Samuel L. Jackson because he even sort of resembles him. I can see it now: "I am SICK of these MUTHAFUCKIN' Saiyans, on this MUTHAFUCKIN' planet!"
