Dragonball the movie delayed?
According to dragonballmovieblog.com, they have reported that Box Office Mojo, has a slated date for DB on April 3rd 2009.
I'm sure most of you are thinking "good maybe this delay will cancel the movie." but whatever. This sucks for those who want to actually give the movie a chance, even if it does turn out like Super Mario Bros.(which I hate and love), or Street Fighter.
For those who want to see it we can just hope this is a silly rumor but, chances are it's probably delayed.

I'll wait til an official word about the delay from FOX or TVGuide or USAToday before I believe if this is true or not.
I was kinda looking forward to that live-action movie in a weird way. Granted I still don't like who they picked for Goku---though as he's one of my favorites of course I'd be picky--but....yeah, I'm gonna wait til more than one source say the delay is true. :3

On hiatus.
It's official.

Nvm, it's still up in the air at this point. Superherohype has not officially 'confirmed' it. Guess we gotta wait til FOX spreads the word, if this delay is at all true.
PLEASE BE TRUE.

Actually, the only hope I had for the film was the cast and crew really 'getting into' the story and because of that dedication, overcoming the (apparently) terrible script and lackluster (save Marsters) cast.Casual Matt wrote:No matter what you think of the idea of this movie, a delay can only be a good thing. Otherwise we'd probably just get a rushed piece of crap.
Delaying the film could lower morale to the point of killing any chance it has.
But, you know, maybe not *shrug*
(é) Yeah, I'm famous. Super famous. I start things.

I'm also happy about the delay, a smart move on their part. I don't think I was ready for whatever they were going to throw at us this summer. I can only believe that there will be more effort pute into the film, on all levels, with more time. An extended amount of hype can be generated from this that will make us anticipate it more.
I do, of course, hope we see some official preview images soon though

Believe it or not, but most movies get delayed for positive reasons. My guess is that they expected very little from this film, so they gave it very little time, but now that the filming has almost wrapped, they have discovered that the film is more "quality" than expected. So in an effort to cement it's goodness, they are giving it more time in post production, so there will be a enough time for better special effects, and better editing.

Seriously not to be mean to the people who are excitited for the movie. Personally I hope it flops and never sees the light of day, like the 1994 live-action version of "Fantastic 4".
What I would like to see, is a new animated movie from Toei, instead of this live-action movie from Fox! My idea would be, the artist who draw anime today, all do 20 minutes shorts of Dragon Ball drawn in their own style. Sorta like a cross between that one Daizenshu and the Animematrix. Personally I think this would be quite acceptable.
