Okay, quick update; to those of you guys who've gotten in contact with me already, thank you muchly. I'm sorry I haven't responded yet (you'll get a reply from me shortly, don't worry) or been available on any chat programs where anybody could reach me in the last several days; I'm currently encountering problems with my computer - my laptop's keyboard seems to be dying, for one thing - and I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong. Also, school obligations that'll continue at least until Thursday this week. After that I should have more free time to work on this.

If you haven't gotten an email from me yet, know that it is forthcoming and that what I outlined in my previous post still stands. One week from when I send it to you to respond, then a reminder, and the next week after you're out. So you know what to do.

Also, I'll be posting again soon with a list of the current cast to help keep track of changes to it within the next few weeks. There are a couple of small one-line roles available, but besides that, we have our roster full at the moment. I'll be reposting the list again if/when people get dropped so other people (including anybody else already with a role) can take a crack at it. (I may or may not set up a new auditions thread for those; it depends on how many people respond.)

Also, Kaboom. If you're still reading this, bkev has mentioned several times that it'd be a good idea to include recent updates in the first post on this thread. Would you mind editing it from time to time to include updates once they're posted (or at least when I poke you about it)? Just linking to the latest important post or two would probably do it. It'd be a big help if we could let people know what's going on without them having to wade through this entire thread.

Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

yay, I had a useful idea! Anyway, spring break's coming up, although I think the place I was gonna get my video reference has shut down. D:
I'll Netflix it over my break.
Also, chat's empty. :(
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
There was a Japanese laserdisc release of this movie, wasn't there? I'd say so, and if somebody here could manage to get ahold of that and record the SFX and BGM-only secondary audio track from it, mixing the "Original Soundtrack" side for this dub would be a hell of a lot easier.

As far as I know, the entire series only had a mono-track, except some stuff at the very end, (I think movie 13 and the 10-year anniversary-movie was in stereo) so that won't work.

Well there is a possibility which funimation can do the whole movies with english with the original japanese audio and then only then would it make your project easier. My bgm's are good, but since you want sound effects it's gonna be hard mixing it unless you guys have a professional or something.

Mixing vocals, bgm, and sound effects is simple, but getting the sound effects could be a challenge.

I just noticed there are some BGM's missing from the 5 disc DBZ CD. Where's the BGM in where Goku is finally healed in the tank and comes out to finally fight Freeza?

Here's the link and zip to 7:54 and listen to the BGM.

I'd help but i'm already doign something like this. I'm scoring the Plan TO Eradicate All Saiyans. Maybe after I'm done with that I could help. I can write and record EXACTLY in the style of "Faulconer" f you want that kind of thing.

I'm going to assume I speak for most of the project and say "no". And if I'm wrong, then allow me to say "what the hell, guys?".

Thanks, anyway though :)

Sorry, as good as your score is we already have someone doing an original score *waits for Stevey to pop up*. If he can't score the whole movie, though, we'll let you know. Or, I hope I can speak for Kino there.

Lol, its all good :)

Also, be aware that the "Faulconer" sound is not my favorite or my even my best sound...

I've just been trying to prove a point about Mr. Faulconer with my recent tracks. I sat quiet for 7 years after I left that studio...

That's actually quite good.

I'd say, jump on the IRC channel and talk to Kaboom, see what's been scored already, what needs to be done.

At the very least, I'm sure they could use another ear to judge how it's shaping up.

Thanks man. I love this BGM cause it was probably one of my favorites when I first started watching Japanese RAW DBZ years ago.

I love the piano chunk of that track crookie. By the way, sometimes you seem as though Faulconer had wronged you in some way. Is there a reason for that, or am I just misinterpreting what you typed out?
