Just thinking about a South Park-styled DBZ makes me burst out with laughter.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Hey, Daemon, I didn't forget about these! Sorry it took so long, but despite a lot going on I got 'em.
DaemonCorps wrote:I was thinking of the screencap of the three Nameks arriving to fight Dodoria
Here's them flying in:

And after they land:
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 160424.jpg
and another of Kuririn and Gohan fighting Ginyu/Goku.
This one's the best I could grab; they used a LOT of the same animation over and over for that part, and none of it was really that outstanding...

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 003353.jpg

And a couple extras for Namek:
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 002426.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 003503.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 001915.jpg
As for the third season, the only screencap I have in mind is when Freeza does his final blast at Goku before Goku just blasts it right back at him. I'm open for any other screencaps for the other two.
Okay, here's that first one:
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 164405.jpg

...And several others to choose from.
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 172645.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 153155.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 153139.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 152954.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 173607.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 173547.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 173354.jpg

Heh, I might've gone a bit overboard. I tried to get some good screencaps of Piccolo vs Freeza, but I swear, SO little of that fight is well-animated. :/
For season four, I figured I'd just take something from each saga. So, just get anything cool looking from the Garlic Jr. Saga.
Here we go, a couple shots of Garlic himself.

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 191952.jpg
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d81/K ... 192125.jpg

Alrighty then.

I wasn't the one who asked for them, but thank you so much for the shots of the young Nameccian Warriors. I didn't really have any before.

Big thanks, man. I'm actually developing something of a social life, so but I'll get to at least one of the custom covers by tomorrow, since I've got no school that day.

I actually just finished up a couple designs.

This is what evolved from Steven's covers. Still too plain.

Lookin' good, Desire. I actually really like that!

Edit: Okay the one above is the second one I made, but I like it better, and put more work into it due to having to edit the actual image. The "old" one, volume 2, is linked below. It was more an exercise in upsizing an image without killing its quality too much, and setting the layout. I know these would be overly ridiculous to expect but hey, thats what makes it fun.

Whoah, Desiré...

Those covers are quite good... did you draw the art in Photoshop yourself, or skilfully cut the pictures out? Nicely done. Hmmm... I might give some suggestions later on, and also post some unfinished stuff too.

Heh, just magic wand selections and text. The last two are just poster scans I found somewhere (one's from Kanzentai, not sure where the other's from). The DBZ dragon had some trouble with white background and hair - which is why there's a white glow around them :P

The first one is a vector-trace of one of my favourite images. Found it on a forum a few months back in a thread with videogame-style fanart (which were mostly retraces, and palate swaps). I started with this one because the vector-trace (while rastered when I found it) was still huge (1600x3000 px) and could easily grab colour regions.

Here's the psd (56.5 MB) at full size.

LaserKid, that looks good - cept for the occasional seemingly obvious cut-and-paste here and there. Maybe you should give this to one of these geniuses here.

Not to mention the quality of the images and the mesh of different styles.

I aknowledge these aren't anywhere near as good as some of the other stuff out there, and yeah I couldn't quite find a Freeza image in the style of the rest, so I got as close as I could, which wasn't very. >.<

Ultimately what I'm proud of for that first one was the removal of Trunks from the top left, it was hard to make him disappear without everyone else getting messed up. As for image quality, I don't have any DBZ art books to scan for high quality images so I just have to scour the internet for images.

Still, I'm glad it isn't a complete disaster. One of these days I need to get a firmer grip on photoshop use (I have Photoshop 6, but don't use it due to not being very good with it, so I made these with Paint Shop Pro 7 which, since I've had for 7 years now, I am infinitely more proficient with the use of).

Alright, the second season box art's done. I'd put it up on my deviantart along with my progress on season three and four and the psd template for anyone interested in trying their hand at this, but my computer's being stupid right now. Such is the downside of downloading music through shady sites...

For seasons three and four, I just need a writeup of the season description on the back of those boxes as well as their run times and episode counts. I know the latter two don't really matter much especially since the text is so small that most printers won't print it clearly, but I figured what the hey.

I'll also go back and re-do season one with the kanzenban art. Though from what I remember at my first shot at it, it was pretty hard getting the pictures together without leaving a lot of white space :?.

Season Three:

"The battle to decide the fate of the universe begins! On the distant Planet Namek, the seven Dragon Balls have been brought together and the dragon Porunga summoned. Now, Goku and the Z-fighters are all that stand between the evil Frieza and his wish for immortality!

Having survived their encounters with Frieza's dreaded minions, Goku and his friends are now left to contend with the ruthless tyrant himself. Despite their recent victories, however, the Z-fighters are ill prepared to face the terrifying reality of Frieza's power. To defeat this seemingly invincible foe and restore peace to the universe, there is but one hope -- a Super Saiyan must emerge!"

Season Four:

"Having returned victorious from their battle with Frieza, the Z-fighters can at last breathe a collective sigh of relief... But they won't have long to rest. A new host of villains have appeared, ready to wreak havoc on the Earth-- and Goku, the Z-fighters' greatest hero, is still missing!

In the face of these new dangers, a mysterious youth with Super Saiyan powers has come bearing a bleak prediction for the future: in just three years' time, an evil greater than any of the Z-fighters have ever faced will emerge to cast a shadow of destruction and despair over the Earth. And if the young Saiyan's prediction is correct, the Z-fighters will have to train like they have never trained before in order to have any hope against these seemingly unstoppable foes-- the Androids!"

Okay, so I'd say this cover is pretty much done- unless there's something you really don't like. Heh, sorry it took so long. :P I addressed the problem of Majin-Buu era Vegeta and the 'clean' armour, replacing the old one with a battle-damaged armour and the early, less 'mature' version of Vegeta from the Saiyan Saga. The ball on the spine has gone, and I've kept it looking as close to the original UUE covers as possible. Raditz has been added on the back, as requested. Oh, and I've added more blood. Yup, the 'Ultimate Uncut' needs to have blood. That's what it's all about. 8)

Image

All I need now are the EXACT measurements of the covers, because I'm not entirely sure of the actual size myself- although I've got the image in proportion with an 'Orange Box' scan (so all I need to do is re-size it to make it fit within the measurements). Someone posted the measurements, which I used, but after I got the scan of an actual Orange Box off the 'net, the proportions didn't match up. :?

Maybe on Steven Perry's cover you could put just "Japanese audio" instead of "Japanese audio with original music". It's not like there's another version floating around with different music.
Be grateful the filler in Dragon Ball doesn't suck like the 3rd arc of Rurouni Kenshin.
