This is actually pink. Not purple. But I do agree with your point that it’s strange that they’ve changed that. What is the reason? Why is it neccesary?DiscountDabi wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:23 amOrange is an Odd Choice considering it was Purple before. I liked the purple one.Spoiler:

Maybe it's meant to show that Moro is no longer "just" Moro, and that aura represents all the lives and planets he ate?DiscountDabi wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:23 amOrange is an Odd Choice considering it was Purple before. I liked the purple one.Spoiler:

Maybe they just changed it because of the scene? The pink aura goes well with purple space and the pink Dai Kaioshin. Against Goku, who is orange with a blue aura, Moro is blue with an orange aura.

This is one of those scenes where I think I much prefer the original black-and-white. The coloured versions make the encounter look more 'static' and less like there's much force involved in the swell of ki here, and I think that's a real downside in a scene like this one.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
While I'm not a fan of some of the overall palette choices, I do like orange as a color for Moro. We've seen countless villains with a pink/purple aura, an orange one is a breath of fresh air.

I agree, I think the orange really fits Moro. I'm just saying it would be better to remain consistent. I mean outside of transformations when do Aura's really change Color's Like that (Except when the manga colorists decide to color Base Goku and Vegeta's Aura's orange/yellow instead of the common white its always been)Yuji wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 9:08 pm While I'm not a fan of some of the overall palette choices, I do like orange as a color for Moro. If you check the other pages, his Ki blasts and other Ki attacks remain purple, it's only his aura that is orange. Perhaps those panels in space counted as a technique of some sort, so it was purple?DiscountDabi wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 9:53 pmI agree, I think the orange really fits Moro. It's also reminiscent of Moro's lava-bending, which really stands out in color at the beginning of the arc, but he doesn't utilize much by this point.Yuji wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 9:08 pm While I'm not a fan of some of the overall palette choices, I do like orange as a color for Moro. It’s the same aura Jiren had during the ToP.Koitsukai wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 12:20 pmMaybe it's meant to show that Moro is no longer "just" Moro, and that aura represents all the lives and planets he ate?DiscountDabi wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:23 amOrange is an Odd Choice considering it was Purple before. Toriyama has admitted that Nappa purposely shaves his head. He never went bald. It's possible for a Saiyan to lose hair due to alopecia, but Nappa made the decision to cut his hair as a way to better protect himself in battle.Grimlock wrote: Thu Jan 28, 2021 4:54 pmUnfortunately, that isn't enough for it to become lost in oblivion.
Yeah, well... Nappa went bald, after all. I'm sure we all can come up with sensible reasons to avoid that.
I think it would be far more appropriate if at least Vegeta would lose his bangs as he grows up.LoganForkHands73 wrote: Thu Jan 28, 2021 11:57 amOn a tangential, totally subjective level, I do prefer Toriyama's Minus design for chibi Vegeta. Fight me.
Gine says Bardock's hair isn't common, so Vegeta losing his bangs wouldn't be far-fetched or anything. It would be in line with the strange properties of Saiyans (hair) in general.
Come to think of it, Tarble should have Vegeta's hair with the bangs. Not only would it be somewhat unique and cool, it wouldn't be a cheap copy and paste of Gohan's hair (in the anime) or Vegeta's hair (in the manga).

Two questions that I needed help to remember...
I'm only interested in the manga source.
Has Vegeta ever referred to Goku as Goku?
Has Vegeta ever called Kakarto, Goku?
Any proof would be great, thanks!

According to Herms, apparently Vegeta calls him Goku in chapter 388 (Z chapter 194) of the original manga.
I believe that Viz accidentally had Vegeta say "Goku" at least once in the Super manga, but it was a translation error. I don't recall what chapter it was.
[I'll also take this moment to mention that Goku calls Dende "God"/"Kami-sama" for the first time in the GPP arc, but nobody really seemed to notice/care besides me...]

I did not remember this but just went back and read the chapter and he does. And since Herms confirms it that would mean it’s in the Japanese version too
It’s just so strange because there is no meaning behind him saying Goku there at all

Might Freeza be working on obtaining a new power-up for himself or at least training a little? His past 3 fights have proven that "Golden Freeza" can't really cut it against the best of them and I'm sure he's heard all about Moro by now. Freeza doesn't really have a choice here now that Goku has completed his UI journey and could manhandle Freeza and even Broly at the same time.

Yeah, I agree that Freeza should at least train. But they've already done the "wow Freeza trained and now he's way stronger than us, oh no!" stuff in Res F and it would just be a bit stale now (if it was used as a main story point). Plus, as you mention, Goku is way out of his league - it would be pretty much impossible for Freeza to surpass the state Goku's at now.theherodjl wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 1:23 pm Might Freeza be working on obtaining a new power-up for himself or at least training a little? If this arc is even slightly more tactical and intel-driven than the previous ones, I'll be happy. I wouldn't mind Goku and Vegeta even taking a back seat for a bit so we can see how things play out between Granola/the Heetas/Freeza's army.

Well...you never know. Freeza did go from maybe being on par with Android 19 & 20 to higher than SSJB with 4 months of training. Then, Freeza improved his golden form, matching a SSJB Goku that had trained several more years, by just meditating in his cocoon for awhile.caire wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 1:45 pmYeah, I agree that Freeza should at least train. If Freeza combined exhaustive physical training with intense mental exertion & control, we could see "Platinum-Diamond-Freeza" or some such nonsense in no time.
