The age old argument, SSJ3 Son Goku vs. Superman.

I know this must come up way too often, but I would like to know some opinions on this.

The argument I hear is that Superman would win because Son Goku isn't intelligent. I think that argument is void, seeing as Goku is a very intelligent fighter, it's other stuff he has trouble with.

Another argument that I hear is that Goku has died more. Another silly argument.

1. Superman has never fought the likes of Cell and Boo, so you can't judge Goku for stuff like that.

2. Both deaths were (while essentially unavoidable) were in acts of self sacrifice.

And I feel Superman isn't even close to the experienced warrior that Goku is, not because of the amounts of battles they've each had, but due to the fact the endless training that Goku does.

How do people feel about this?

Ignore your fanboy insticts, what do you truly believe?

I truly believe that Superman would be completely out of his league.

You feel that Superman doesn't have enough experience? Years of fighting super powered being suddenly doesn't count? His fight with Doomsday, a monster created and constantly forced to evolve to be the ultimate weapon of destruction, suddenly counts for nothing? He's faced many beings, it won't be that easy to write Superman off. It's the fact that I am a relentless fanboy that makes me seek the opinions of others.

I've posted my biased opinion, now I want to see some more informed opinions.

So basically, do as I say, not as I do.

I've heard the opinions of the DC fans (which were just as flawed, if not more than mine), now I want to hear the opinions of this side.

I now get that, but, for an informed opinion, I would require more detail as to what Superman and the situation that creates the fight, so I can review past issues, read up on feats, and give that informed opinion you want.

Didn't we just go through this? Goku could beat any post-crisis Superman (with varying degrees of difficulty) but wouldn't be able to beat pre-crisis Superman.

I'm really trying not to go off topic, but I'm with Desire, Bale's Batman voice is pretty terrible, rather than sounding gravely, it comes off as more gruff, which sounds ridiculous when combined with his lisp,
(one line comes to mind from Batman Begins.. "You rattled the Cageths..")

I really don't have much to add to this topic, other than is there really any productive conversation to be had about this?, these arguments always seem to be propagated by the people only familiar with one side, they're either Supes fans, or Goku fans, which leads to all manner of rubbish.

I know they are dumb... but I like the discussion.

I'd give my left nut to see the two in an epic Tenkaichi Budokai battle. I don't care if Goku spends the first hour of it maxing out his power, it would be awesome on many levels.

I've seen people say that Batman could beat Vegeta "because Batman is a tank." I wasn't cruel to the guy, I just told him there was no way that Batman could beat any of the warriors in the DBZ universe. Hell, Mr Satan would probably give him some trouble. And that's not me being a hater.... far from it, I've been a Batman fan for years and The Dark Knight is my new favourite movie, but when you look at these things from a fanboy point of view, you have to be realistic, or as realistic as you can get when talking about people fighting at ridiculous levels for no apparent reason.

Also, I did read that Wizard thing a while back... It was pretty ridiculous. I would call it as bad as a poorly written fan fiction, but I would assume that a fan would be able to see how ridiculous that was, and never let what he had written leave the room.

And I'm sorry, I didn't see that other thread.

Batman is the world's greatest detective and one of the premiere scientific minds in his respective universe.

Give him some time and I'm sure he could take down a few Z-fighters, the dudes been able to take on Superman before.
