What would be the best Dragonball fanmanga for you

Post by AnzuMazaki » Tue Aug 12, 2008 12:45 am

I think one where EVERYONE is included in the fanmanga, including humans, I don't give a shit if they are on ventilators, and dialysis machines and all that body replacement jizz-jazz at half Master Roshi's age.

If Bulma, Chichi and Satan are going to be alive, then keep everyone else alive too, I'd rather see a cyborg 99-year-old Kuririn than 18 screaming for her dead husband while Vegeta commands Bulma to cook his fucking dinner.

In fact I want to see a manga where Goku makes up with his old friends again.

What would you like for a fanmanga?

A fanfic on Vegeta and Bulma's relationship.
Or a fanfic on Future Gohan's life from the time Goku arrives from Yardrat to his death.

I should write that myself...I'm lazy but I'll get to it!
Gohan: "You're a Buddhist." Kuririn: "A hungry Buddhist!"

I like fill-in-the-gaps stuff. Like "Goku and Chi-Chi post the 23rd Budoukai", "Vegeta moves in to Capsule Corp", "what happened post Buu", that sort of thing.
On hiatus.

Me too! Another story I'd like to have is Future Trunks after he defeats Cell in his own time line.

My answer is fairly simple to guess- one of any number of things telling about the past of the Nameccian people. Child of Katatsu, the time before the storms, ectera.

Then there are things like what the hell ever happened to Ranchi.

I don't know if this is fair to say, but I used to wish for a really cool and completed english fan manga. After months of searching it suddenly hit me: Wait a second, I draw comics! Screw this I'm just make my own. I haven't started it yet, shame on me. But I still have my old sketches and notes.

But if I had to describe the best fanmanga, for me it would definitely be an adult book about Lunch. Yeah, I said it. What? Stop looking at me.

B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

No pressure, pal. Most don't read those for the stories.

I would like to see one about Vegeta's life from birth to when Raditz dies. I would also like to see one based on Future Gohan, and then one based on future Trunks after Cell's defeat. And Maybe one that replaces GT with something that makes more sense.

Well, theres' one that I'm trying to find again that was pretty good... it was about 18 waking up in Trunks' future timeline with amnesia, and a strange bond forming between the two.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I'd just like a fan manga that gives us little side stories to all of the minor characters, and the main ones for the times that we didn't know them; like DBZ: Elsewhere or the actual DBZ Side Stories.

I've read that one! The one where they fight an army of Android 17's, right? That was actually really good! It would have been a lot better if the author decided to pick one language and stick with it instead of having them randomly break out in Japanese.

As for the perfect fan manga? Well I'm writing a GT manga right now. And it will make more sense than the other version Toei crapped out.

Was it on Planetnamek.com? I remember some... eight, ten pages of a story like that that used to be archived there. I dug it up on another site but I don't remember where that was...

I really fucking hate any Future Trunks/18 bonding, pairing or anything like that.

Anyway, I would like one where Vegeta is the hero.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about this. I don't really like the pairing between Trunks and 18 at all, but other than that it's a pretty good fanfic. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in ages, so the author(s) may have abandoned it.

RMK's now defunct Yamcha centric comic, DBZ Elsewhere. I've mentioned this repeatedly - it's damned good.
http://www.rmkworld.net/ELSEWHERE/elsewhere.htm

Gensminna's comic Trunks' Date that after 240 pages and seven chapters has moved approximately eight minutes forward.

(the art's a little wonky at first, but becomes spectacular over time)

Toyble's DBAF comic, which is in Japanese. Though you may be able to find some slap-dash scanlations somewhere.
