Be my guest. I like mine just how it is, and I can't quote something that long without having to get rid of my links anyway.NeptuneKai wrote:God, that would be a sexy quote/sig Kaboom.

That guys was right. Burst Limit was a decent fighting game but a terrible Dragon Ball game. Come on. 5 stages. Only goes up to the Cell saga. No extra costumes. Characters don't address each other before battle. Half assed cut scenes. With Budokai 3 they went above and beyond. Here they were obviously trying to make a quick buck. Hopefully they'll put out a better game when the release the inevitable "Burst Limit 2".
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

I don't have Burst Limit, but I like it. I just care about the fighting. Plus of the little bit I have played, I thought the game was great!
As for this "new" Budokai, I'll be right at home. Budokai 3 was honestly my favorite DBZ game. Bardock and me are invincible together!

Gohan: "You're a Buddhist." Kuririn: "A hungry Buddhist!"
That doesn't mean it's a bad game. That just means it's not like the Tenkaichi games, which seem to heavily favor quantity over quality. I like stuff like extra costumes and character-specific dialogue too, but I would NEVER sacrifice gameplay quality for them.Chrono Trigger wrote:5 stages. Only goes up to the Cell saga. Rheeh? What? Haven't you seen the cutscenes? They're gorgeous!Half-assed cut scenes.

I didn't say Burst Limit was a bad game overall. Just a bad Dragon Ball game. It's and excellent fighting game. All I'm saying is why couldn't they add more levels, more costumes, and have the characters actually address each other before fighting ? Why WOULDN'T you include something like that in a game ? As far as the cut scenes go, I agree with you. This is easily the best looking Dragon Ball game ever. What I meant by "half-assed" was stuff like characters not being battle damaged when they should be. The Goku vs Vegeta fight being or the Goku vs Freeza fight being examples. In the Manga/Anime when Goku threw the spirit bomb he actually looked like he had been doing battle with the strongest dude in the universe but in burst limit he looks like he hasn't even fought Freeza at all.
When he went Super Saiyan where was Gohan and Piccolo ? They didn't even show that part ! I know I'm defiantly just nit-picking but it's not like I'm making shit up. It's the first Dragon Ball game to be made on a Next Gen console, their charging 60 dollars for it (or at least the were) I just expect them to have a lot more detail and more content. To me Burst Limit is only worth 40 dollars. If it had more levels, more characters, and more content in general then I'd like Burst Limit a lot more. Seriously it's just a prettier Shin Budokai with an online mode.

I most certainly did not!Rory wrote:You say that as if its a bad thing.Onikage725 wrote:I don't know how to describe this, but those shots make me think less Budokai and more Shin Budokai. Anyone else know what I mean or get that vibe?
Personally, I thought Shin Budokai's battle system was better than Burst Limits.
Proud owner of both SB games.
@ Chrono Trigger- I see what you mean. I got tired of looking at the same 2 or 3 "scuffle" sequences.
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

Wow. So it IS a new game.
I'm still surprised this wasn't announced earlier, considering how soon it's going to be released. I thought the PS2 would've been dead for sure now (as far as DBZ games go). I'm pleasantly surprised that it's not.
The battle screenshots don't really have me excited though...it just looks like Budokai 3 to me. I liked that game, but it's not my favourite of the DBZ fighting games. And I already have Budokai 3, so I just hope this new game is different enough to warrant buying it.
The minigame screenshots sure look promising though. I'll have to keep my eye on this one.

They sure do. Man, this is probably going to be the definitive DBZ fighter! I'm gonna go on Friday with my mommy to hopefully pre-order it from GameStop.Brad Redfield wrote:Now this looks pretty cool. The additional modes remind me of that mini-game from Budokai where you had to hold Raditz down for Piccolo's attack.

Yep, looks like Budokai 3, which is my favorite, with more goodies in it!DBZGokuSaiyan wrote:They sure do. Man, this is probably going to be the definitive DBZ fighter! Don't forget the rest of the "Shadow Dragons"!SSj Kaboom wrote:Budokai 3 already had "Omega Shenron" and Super Saiyan 4 for Goku, Vegeta, and Gogeta. Probably wouldn't be too hard for them to toss in Super 17 and Babi to have a complete GT villains roster.Sunlight & City Night wrote:Maybe they could still appear as NPC's?
I wonder, does the inclusion of a rather random Super 17 indicate that this game will tell the story all the way up to the end of GT?
"Final Budokai" is pretty much what has turned out to be "Infinite World". As for Budokai Tenkaichi 4... Iunno. It is possible for there to be a BT4.

I think that screenshot if of some sort of mini-game where you play as Tenshinhan holding back Cell, so it wouldn't follow the normal fighting mechanics of the rest of the game. I could be wrong, of course.DBZGokuSaiyan wrote: I'm a little curious as to where that "meter" with Tenshinhan's Tri-Beam will go... it's a nice addition; would that replace the Budokai 3's super moves' gauge thingy that you have to fill up? Or is it only exclusive to "suicidal" type super moves, like Majin Vegeta's "Final Explosion" and Tenshinhan's "Neo Tri-Beam" from BT2/3 :?:
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?
