Avatars Disappearing?

I’ve noticed some people’s avatars suddenly not showing up, including mine now. Is this a moderation thing, a glitch, or what? I checked out my control panel and it looks like it was deleted, even though I haven’t touched the off-site file.

I'm seeing yours just fine right now, but I too have noticed other members' avatars temporarily disappearing. I figured it was a problem on the forumgoers' part, not the forum itself.

Incidentally, I can not see yours either. I tried viewing it separately through your Photobucket account but there isn’t anything there. Same with mine. So if you’re able to see it it must be loading from your cache or something. Maybe people’s bandwidths limits are being exceeded through constant use? It’s just weird because I haven’t encountered this problem on other forums.

Not that it's the case here, but for the record, I *do* immediately delete any avatars I see that exceed the 80x80 pixels rule.

Mine disappeared a couple days ago. I got a 404 when I tried to access it on my imageshack account, so I re-uploaded it along with my new avatar.

Mine dissapeard too. I had to reupload it again. Maybe it's a glitch of some kind.

No, your avatar keeps disappearing because... like I noted just above... it exceeds 80x80 pixels (just by one pixel, but a rule is a rule).

Yeah, yours was rather gigantic

I've said it before and I'll say it again, one of the things I absolutely adore about this forum, is the avatar size limit and the no image signature rules.

I've noticed avatars not showing up many times (including my own), but whenever I refresh the page they all come up. I can see all of the avatars on this page by the way.

I think mine was a computer burp. Totally unrelated to the forum itself. Imageshack's 404'd on me with images before--though only twice--and once I deleted and re-uploaded they were fine again.

I had to go searching for it in my folders because it'd been so long since I'd seen the file anywhere other than when I post here. XD
