Are these actually the Dragon Boxes?
While doing a search on Amazon Japan I came acros these products when I searched Dragon Box
DBOX Movies
http://www.amazon.co.jp/DRAGON-BALL-DVD ... 362&sr=1-1
DBOX
http://www.amazon.co.jp/DRAGON-BALL-DVD ... 362&sr=1-2
DBOX Z 1
http://www.amazon.co.jp/DRAGON-BALL-DVD ... 362&sr=1-3
DBOX Z 2
http://www.amazon.co.jp/DRAGON-BALL-DVD ... 362&sr=1-4
DBGT
http://www.amazon.co.jp/DRAGON-BALL-DVD ... 362&sr=1-5
I cant read any of the reviews or the product info because they are in Japanese. The prices seem fair but it's almost impossible to believe that they all have about 30 boxes in stock. Can someone who knows how to read Japanese help me?

Those are real. They don't actually have them in stock, they just have 30 or so used ones from various sellers.
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?
Sometimes, I tweet things
We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

So then why does everyone complain about how hard they are to find? All I did was type in Dragon Box and they came up. Even if they are second hand sellers, you can still purchase them cant you? (I dont have much online shopping experiance)Herms wrote:Those are real. They don't actually have them in stock, they just have 30 or so second-hand sellers.

You should check out Yahoo Japan! There are way too many! That's how I bought them. I bought them used and complete for half of what many ask on Amazon JP. Used or new, they are worth having. 1500USD well spent in my book, coming from a 21 year old. I had to sell some doubles from my Sentai collection, but worth it!

International shipping. If I were to search Dragon Ball on Yahoo Japan auctions, there'd be a gajillion auctions. However, if I narrow it down to just people who will ship internationally, I get about a page worth of auctions.Gogeta 00 wrote:So then why does everyone complain about how hard they are to find? I'm not sure if Amazon Japan does, but I do know that most Amazon Japan Marketplace sellers will not.Gogeta 00 wrote:Oh I see, does Amazon Japan ship internationally?Kendamu wrote:International shipping. This requires you to pay a company in Japan to have the product shipped to them, and then ship the product to you. This can add a LOT to the price of the product, of course, and I don't know these companies off the top of my head.

This question has been asked many times before and was specifically addressed in this thread.TheGreatness25 wrote:Are you sure they're real? I mean there's no picture of the set. There's just a random picture from the series (except for the movie one). It's like if you go on Ebay and you see "All 271 episodes of DBZ!" and there's a picture of Goku doing a Kamehameha, would you buy it?
Amazon Japan has never used the actual box art for any of the Dragon Boxes. They all look like this. These were the images they used when the boxes were up for pre-order, and they just never changed any of them. But no, they're not fake!
Mostly all of the Dragon Boxes (except the DB Dragon Box, apparently) aren't available on Amazon Japan, except as used items. About 99% of the people selling used items on Amazon Japan won't ship internationally, which makes them hard to find because most people don't know any other way to find them. I always suggest using Celga, since I use it myself, to order things from either Yahoo! Japan or Amazon Japan. There are other companies, like Krycek7o2 mentioned, such as Rinkya, but I've personally never used them before. There is a fee for using these services, but sometimes it's the only way to get these items.Gogeta 00 wrote:So then why does everyone complain about how hard they are to find? While we're on the subject, what are peoples opinion on me making a guide about this, since this seems to get brought up about once a month? Is there anything people would like included; a detailed walk-through of using services like Celga or Rinkya?

I think that would be a great idea, especially for people like me who have trouble reading Japanese.Hujio wrote:

I think it's a good idea, and would make a great update to your 2nd Kanzentai Feature.Hujio wrote:While we're on the subject, what are peoples opinion on me making a guide about this, since this seems to get brought up about once a month? Those look way off to be actual images of what you are purchasing, it's almost like Amazon didn't even bother to use actual screencaps or images of the actual boxsets for that matter and just put an old ugly looking piece of artwork which especially one the DBOX Z 1 one which looks like it's from the Daizenshuu.
They should have done something like align the image of Goku looking at his best since it's a really detailed cel and all which could promote the set.
Something like this with a side by side comparison of theirs, resized to match and all...

Well, that's nice and all, but Toei is the one who gave them that promotional image. Plus, the boxes weren't out when those pages went up so screencaps weren't possible, nor were pictures of the boxes themselves.PrincessVegeta wrote:Those look way off to be actual images of what you are purchasing, it's almost like Amazon didn't even bother to use actual screencaps or images of the actual boxsets for that matter and just put an old ugly looking piece of artwork which especially one the DBOX Z 1 one which looks like it's from the Daizenshuu.
So...yeah. Blame Toei.
