I was born the day before chapter 60, "Ninja Murasaki!!", premiered, with the anime still not having had a single episode aired. Can I join you old farts?

Wow, the anime was pretty close to the manga back then, and I don't recall any serious filler in the Android Saga to create a good gap. This episode is like what? Three or four chapters behind the manga?

Eighteen chapters behind (which is still pretty damn close, as it takes a couple months to produce an episode). The manga wasn't originally released in tankoubons, you know, and Shonen Jump was publishing the chapters where Cell's time machine is discovered when that episode premiered.

Dragon Ball Z Episode 46 "The Ruthless Frieza" / "Defying Orders" in Japan. It aired on May 2, 1990. At the time, I had spent four days alive.

I wasn't into DB back then. I was more interested in crying.

Going by the release of chapters in Weekly SJ and not the tankoubon:

Dragon Ball Chapter 360: Kami-sama and the Demon King Become One, released February 24, 1992, six days after I was born. The chapter title gives away what happens, and it's still the Android Saga.

Toriyama didn't even think of the series when I was born.

Although I find it funny I was in the 4th grade when Goku turned SSJ in Japan.

I was about 2 years old turning 3 when the series started appearing in Shonen Jump.

Hmm...

--The day before my birthday: A historical play was aired instead of DBZ.
--The episode before that: "Ni-juu-san nichi wa jidaigeki toku-ban, san-juu nichi wa nenmatsu tokubetsu bangumi de housou wa yasumi desu" (?!) was aired instead of DBZ [yes, a quote from Kanzentai's Episode Guide]
--The week after my birthday: Some retarded year-end special was aired instead of DBZ.
--OK, so NO EPISODE WAS AIRED WINTHIN A 2 WEEK RADIUS OF MY BIRTHDAY!!

And for the manga, Dragonball chapter #403 was issued 3 days before the day of my birth.
