I love MasakoX, but I wouldn't go as far as to say he should play Goku in the actual Dub. I mean OK, I'm not a big fan of Corlett's Goku to begin with. But even to those who enjoy Corlett's Goku, if Masako played him you'd still get that little twinge of English Accent. I mean if Sabat gets bashed for giving an ultimately minor character like Jeice an accent. Could you imagine the main character?
Peter Kelamis. Some complained of his Canadian accent.
There you go! I just summed it up. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
MasakoX is, by far, my favourite English Goku.
(é) Yeah, I'm famous. Super famous. I start things.

I'm pretty sure a Canadian accent would actually make Kaio-Ken sound like Kayo-Ken. Not the other way around. The Time Traveller wrote:Didn't he pronounce everything correctly though? I remember seeing a clip of him saying "Kaioken" properly and everyone blamed his accent for him "getting kayoken wrong."bkev wrote:Peter Kelamis. Some complained of his Canadian accent.

BUT, he did get Kaio-Ken right... despite his accent.Gozar wrote:I'm pretty sure a Canadian accent would actually make Kaio-Ken sound like Kayo-Ken. Well... did movie 1 even have the kaio-ken in it?

Mr. Popo scares the shit out of me.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but the thread's huge now. Are there (or could there be) any plans to release high quality files of the DBZ:A series? I'm planning on making a DVD when the Saiyan Saga finishes up, and while the mp4's look good, I figured it wouldn't hurt to request a divx or something.
Went to my friend's place last night and put some episodes up on his projector, making about a 70 inch screen. We both agreed that we'll miss Nappa and Popo later in the series (the latter because he appears much less), but we're hoping you'll take other lesser characters and give them new life. I always thought Zarbon could be funny.

A small hint! Pause right when the space pod hits the building for a quick, hard-to-catch joke. :3
