I can't get over how excited am I am that Attack of the Saiyan's on DS is coming out around my Birthday, maybe this birthday won't suck, like last year I spent it on a plane for 8 hours.

Yeah. Of all the American-made games, as far as I can tell, Atari themselves only actually internally developed Collectible Card Game on the GBA, which was the first new game in the revival back in '02 (other than Legendary Super Warriors, which was from Banpresto in Japan).

All three Legacy of Goku games (1, 2, Buu's Fury) were developed by Webfoot. Taiketsu was also Webfoot, as was Transformation.

Sagas was done by Avalanche.

I think that's it... missing any?
Ugh... Webfoot.

The only redeemable games they made were Legacy of Goku 2 & Buu's Fury... then they went and shat on their credibility by releasing the abortions of gaming that were Taiketsu and GT: Transformation.

Actually, I'd have to say the Supersonic Warriors games were the best handheld games. Although, SSW2 was the first and last Dragon Ball DS game I've played...

And Sagas. Ugh. Best original XBOX DBZ game ever. That game, with its horrible character models and glitchy, buggy gameplay, reminded me of a poorly-designed amateur FPS game mod, like Earth's Special Forces or something.

Raging Blast was at E3. It had it's own booth and everythang. Looks like you can see some HUD screens too.

It may have been early in the morning or late in the day when that pic was taken. Odd that there was no coverage of either on tv.

I'm enjoying the fantasy some people have that Namco/Bandai puts Japanese audio on games more than Atari does.

We've been getting Japanese voices as an option for the console games for years now, and the only songs that get replaced are ones from the show. There's no telling how Namco Bandai will handle either of those for the American releases of Dragon Ball games.

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

Well, that's just beautiful. I'm really looking forward to the Wii game, so that makes this even better.
Yeah, like Taku said. We've had options for the Japanese cast for years. Here's a quick list of games that give such:

Ps2; Budokai 3 Greatest Hits (Only the GH version, lacks only the vocal version of the opening)
Ps2; Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking! [Has replaced, recycled Budokai music track]
Ps2/Wii; Budokai Tenkaichi 2/Sparking! NEO [Has replaced, but good IMO, original music track]
Ps2/Wii; Budokai Tenkaichi 3/Sparking! METEOR [Has replaced music track?]
PsP; Shin Budokai
PsP; Shin Budokai 2: Another Road
Ps3; Burst Limit
Ps2; Infinite World

Yeah while Atari was giving fans the option of the Japanese voice track, Namco Bandai never did with One Piece even with the Wii game they released last year. Even Naruto up to a certain point until they caved into fan demand.

Still I'm glad to see the Wii game getting localized.

Burst Limit had the original vocal song playing in the US release at some point. I think it was the half-way mark in the story mode. There's also an English version that plays in the game as well. But for some reason, the opening theme is just instrumental.

Even though they did not make them, they hadn't been produced without them, had they?

Are you talking about the European version? Because the North American has the original as the opener.

Oh yeah! The opening is the original vocal track, then after you skip it, it switches to the instrumental. During the credits the English lyric one plays.

Ah, gotcha, thanks for the info you guys. From what I was reading in the thread, it sounded like language selection was a rare feature or something. According to IGN's preview, both the English and Japanese versions are going to be included, so that's good news.
