The big "FUCK YOU" was the "Didn't Godzilla attack New York in 1998?" "No, that wasn't Godzilla" exchange, something like that. :lol:
Later on in that movie didn't he actually take out the American Godzilla in one blow?
That particular quote was from Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Daikaiju Soukougeki. The (abysmal) film where Godzilla kills the American Godzilla, referred to as simply Zilla, was Godzilla Final Wars.

1) He's too old.
2) He's too big and muscular.
3) He's too old.

So is all this still just a rumor, or what?

Like she says.

In GMK, A soldier asks another: "I thought that was Godzilla!" and the reply was: "That what the American scientists says... but our guys got some doubts about it!!"

And Final War? The shortest fight ever!! ((about 10 seconds or so)) "I knew that Tuna Head wasn't up to much... Next!!"

Probably still a rumor; its from Hoy Cinema, and while I remember hearing about them in earlier DBE-related news, I don't know how reliable they are. ^^;

My general rule of thumb is "if its not listed as news on the front page of Daizenshuu EX or Kanzentai, its nothing more than a rumor". :3

Like if you were the one to have broken such news on your site, Herms, I'd believe you.

From all the bits of 'news' that are coming out it's starting to look more and more like we'll get a sequel, rather than a reboot... HELL NO!!!!!!!! :cry:

Hopefully they realize they couldn't do it right either.

Where did you see that?
The only dbe-related site I know that's still running is JAPPO's, and I didn't see anything there about it being a sequel instead of a reboot? :?:

I'm quoting this from Bura's (Dutch) forum, so props to her. I don't think this was posted here yet;
According to its spokesman (Abraham Sullivan), Fox wants the trilogy. However, many changes are expected: mainly, a new director (which is rather good news). The scripts are not even close, and must be approved by the directors of the Fox.

However, I can add that according to my sources, if the project is on track, there is still played ... There is still some agreements. But Fox really believes in the potential of the series, and based on the success of various blockbusters more "adult", should support more heavily on the dark side of the saga. One question to ask: why not have done before?

There are very strong probability that the saga Saiyajin is adapted. Rumors speak of a remake of the first film, but from what I know it would be the track of the saga Saiyajin which is envisaged for its darker, more adult.In any case in person people with whom I've talked about remake has, for against the casts players matching criteria Saiyajin (especially long hair) were launched.
It is a very crappy translation (from French I believe), but it suggests that it's likely we get a (godawful) continuation of DBE. Unfortunately, the article doesn't give us any real clarity.

I don't know why but it seems like a rumor
I mean it's made by a fan everything we suggested is on it

Man we still need a trusted source.

Someone (reliable) told me in late April that the budget would be the same for the sequel. That information may be outdated, but c'mon, it's Fox, they won't invest anything huge unless someone like James Cameron shows interest in it, in which case they'll give him $500 million and lick his dragon balls.

I agree. Some people might like it, but I think it's better to have beautiful 2D anime openings (Budokai series) than badly-handled CGI which looks like when the developers were learning what CGI was back in the first PlayStation era. I personnaly found the game's graphics nicer than the intro CGI!! Now that's just my opinion, and given what we saw of Raging Blast, it looks like they haven't improved a bit.

I am for a live-action movie, cause it would not only attract fans (nobody is gonna go to theaters to see an anime of Dragon Ball except fans and kids)! However, it needs to be well-handled, it needs to be a massive scale, high budget movie respectful of the original despite being adapted (changes are obviously necessary, but they really went much further than needed with DBE) and impressive enough for critics and public to acclaim it, even make it a phenomenon if possible. The quality really has to be there, this is the world's most famous manga we're talking about! And the first choice which will influence it all is: who will be the director?

Not James Wong. That's all that matters. That's all that matters.
