I still can't help but question if Gogeta is even possible for Goku & Vegeta to create since the two fusees have to be of similar size and power. Goku can lower his power to match Vegeta's but he still stands a whole head above Vegeta. Trunks was slightly taller than Goten, but Vegeta only goes to Goku's shoulder.

He's said to be the East Kaioshin of 15 generations ago in the anime guidebook DBZ Son Goku Densetsu, but I have the nagging feeling that this is actually mentioned in the series itself at one point (the "East Kaioshin" part that is; I know he does say he's from 15 generations ago).Amigo Ten wrote:I always assumed the old Kaioshin in the sword was a previous East Kaioshin, and I'm not sure why.
He does get called "Dai-Kaioshin" by Goku and Kibito when he offers to give his life to Goku (this drops out of the Viz manga simply because Goku and Kibito are speaking directly to him, and so say "your life" rather than "Dai-Kaioshin's life", as is more natural in English). This is in fact the very first time the phrase "Dai-Kaioshin" gets used in the series, because while East Kaioshin mentions that there used to be 5 Kaioshins when he first explains about Boo, he doesn't mention them by individual title until later. Oddly, it's only in that one chapter that the Elder Kaioshin is called "Dai-Kaioshin". It's possibly that they decided to elect him Dai-Kaioshin based on his senior status, or that this was his position originally (though the fact that they just stop calling him that suggest it was an informal title). Either way, he's never called "Rou Dai Kaioshin", only either "Rou Kaioshin", "Dai-Kaioshin", or simply "Kaioshin".Bussani wrote:On a complete side note, we had a thread earlier where Herms and/or Hujio said that there was no evidence that Elder Kaioshin was ever the Dai Kaioshin, and that we didn't know where the term 'Rou Dai' came from. I noticed when watching the Buu saga recently that, when being polite, Kibitoshin and the others do seem to refer to him as Dai Kaioshin a few times. Is it just that he took on this role after being released?

I see. It did seem pretty random when they used it. I wondered if it was an anime only line, but you've answered that. Thanks.Herms wrote:He does get called "Dai-Kaioshin" by Goku and Kibito when he offers to give his life to Goku (this drops out of the Viz manga simply because Goku and Kibito are speaking directly to him, and so say "your life" rather than "Dai-Kaioshin's life", as is more natural in English). Goku outright states that he can perform the fusion dance with Vegeta.Travis Touchdown wrote:I still can't help but question if Gogeta is even possible for Goku & Vegeta to create since the two fusees have to be of similar size and power. Yeah, when he first explains Fusion. He says that if Vegeta or Gohan were still alive, he could have fused with either of them. He says that the power and sizes of the two people have to be 'around the same'.Senzu_Bean wrote:In the manga?Rocketman wrote:Goku outright states that he can perform the fusion dance with Vegeta.

I would consider Piccolo and Goku to not being around the same size.Senzu_Bean wrote:Really? I thought it had to do with size and not shape. Amigo Ten, then it is possible.
I mean, if I remember correctly, there was one guide with the supposedly real world height that the fighters would have, and Vegeta was stated to be 1,65 meters in height (or something like that) and Goku 1,75 meters (or something like that), while Piccolo was stated to be 2,10 meters (or something like that).

That was the Super Exciting Guide: Character Volume. It put Goku at 175 cm, Vegeta at 164 cm, and Piccolo at 226 cm.rereboy wrote:I mean, if I remember correctly, there was one guide with the supposedly real world height that the fighters would have, and Vegeta was stated to be 1,65 meters in height (or something like that) and Goku 1,75 meters (or something like that), while Piccolo was stated to be 2,10 meters (or something like that).

No one is answering my question. Is Cell stronger than the chubby Dai Kaioshin back before Buu? He looked like this.

I know that nobody knows for sure, but there are a lot of DBZ fans on this forum thats been watching DBZ for a very long time, so this would be the best place to get oppinions on who's stronger.
Oh, and I think the chubby Dai Kaioshin is more powerful than the East Kaioshin. The East Kaioshin was the strongest out of the 4 regular Kaioshins, but not the Dai Kaioshin.
