Haven't got the chance to listen yet, but was my email read? I asked if they were planning on reviewing Dragon Ball Season One.

It's not a big priority at the moment because they already owned the episodes and their weren't any real big questions.

This really isn't all that important in the grand scheme of things, but being from Maryland I'd just like to state that Delmarva is short for Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia and usually refers to the parts of those states that are around the Delmarva Penninsula ((basically all of Delaware, the eastern shore portion of Maryland (that is, the counties east of the Chesapeake Bay) and two counties in Virginia.))

As you are someone from Maryland, I have to ask, how big is the local reaction to this article? Is everyone up in arms or did most people in your town just shrug it off? All the info I have gotten from this is the one article linked from Daizex homepage and the thoughts(which I agree
with 100%)of the podcast.

Honestly, there hasn't really been ANY reaction in my town. Then again, I live right outside Baltimore, which is on the western side of the Chesapeake Bay, and therefore not Delmarva. (It's more central Maryland, and is way closer to Pennsylvania and Washington than the area known as Delmarva.) So, in conclusion, it's rather a non-entity in Baltimore.

Of course, I may have just missed a five second local news blurb, if there was one.

Its good to see that this thing isn't getting much press.

I was listening to the radio this morning and one of the stories made me think of the Maryland incident. They were talking about some parents fearing "Where the Wild Things Are" will scare their little children. The Station talked about an article that asked the writers opinion on this and he said "They can go to hell, the books been out for 40 years and there hasn't been any problems."

I think its funny that people are literally targeting these children's books that were written 20+ years ago. If they were really that bad in the first place they wouldn't have lasted this long.

You know, you guys didn't really touch on this volume being the last we see of Kami. Are you still going to do an episode reviewing his character, now that you've reached this point?

Wouldn't a purist be somebody who would be behind FUNimation 100% on all their decisions? Seems like the people VegettoEX called 'purists' were those who were going on foul-mouthed tirades against them. I know the lady who does their Twitter had a rough week after that announcement.

Despite (probably) being grouped in with those who VegettoEX refered to as "FUNimation Purists," I don't consider myself a FUNimation Purist. I like FUNimation, I think they're a great company. I also enjoy their English dub of Dragon Ball despite its many flaws. But I ain't no stinkin' purist.

Either way, good podcast as usual. I absolutely love the Manga Review of Awesomeness. It's wonderful to hear in depth analysis of the story like this and Herms' VIZ Translation notes are always fun to hear. The Manga Review of Awesomeness is what got me listening to your show every week. I came for the Manga reviews, I stayed for everything else.

Well, it is in my collection of anime DVDs. Cowboy Bebop, the Gundam franchise, Escaflowne, Ronin Warriors, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Gurren Lagann, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya...

Though, looking at my collection list, Funimation has been creeping in more and more lately. Fullmetal Alchemist, several Lupin III titles, the first three DBZ movies, the first Dragon Box coming out...

Throughout the whole library story, I kept hearing you guys refer to the superintendent as "Super Nintendo" even though that wasn't what you guys were saying. Damn you, Ralph Wiggums!

Sunrise didn't want to give the R1 market the original Japanese track in fear of Japanese consumers importing that version for a more affordable price than Japanese releases for the show.

At least we got the trilogy movie, and the dub for the series isn't that bad.

I get the impression that Gundam does rather poorly in sales in R1, especially the older ones.

I would like to see Turn A Gundam, but hell, that one didn't even do well in Japan.

Mike! Goku was 12 at the start of Dragon Ball, he just thought he was 14 because he couldn't count!
