"Looked like" Janenba? Whoever imprisoned Elder Kaioshin was never shown at all.

I know that but when I was 11 I thought he was talking about a demon that was red or something. Also Janemba had a sword and I thought he used that sword to use steal up Elader Kai but this was when I was like 10 or 11, I was stupid back then  :P.

I used to think the reason Vegeta called Goku "Kakarot" was because that was Goku's last name, and that Vegeta, out of spite/lack or respect, refused to acknowledge him by his first name.

I watched it with polish translation from French, and there he called Goku Pajac = ''jester'' or ''idiot'' (if you want) instead of Kakarotto....

And lot of things, Piccolo was Szatan Serduzsko (Satan Lil' heart), Mr. Satan was Hercules, Goku was often called by friends as Songo, Super Saiyans were called as Warriors of ''1, 2, 3, 4'' grade, Freeza was Frezer and Cell was Komurczak which can be trasnlated as Roomer??? from a word ''room''

I've using those names and I'm embarrased because of that......

Also, I thought Yamcha and Goku were one in the same. My name for him until I found out what his real name was was "Flat-top Goku"

Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

Out of curiosity, did this have anything to do with the game Legends? If so, we might be sharing the same brain. :)

Long time ago heard rumor of Frieza's father and brother and saw pic of his forms here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Freezaforms.jpg

and thought his 2nd form was his father and his 3rd his brother. Forgot all about them for a bit until they showed up in the States.

I used to think Majin Boo (Pure Evil) was the grandpa, Super Boo was the father, Majin Boo (Good) was the fat person (I forget what I said), and Kid Boo was the son. Oh wow so much has changed now.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

No, it wasn't until very recently that I got Legends. I first saw Boo's various forms among the pictures of Japanese DBZ action figures that were part of the import ads section in the back of EGM issues in the old days. I assumed they were all characters from between the Saiyan and Freeza arcs because I knew nobody like them appeared in those two storylines, but I was kind of fuzzy on just what happened during the trip from Earth to Namek (at the time, I hadn't seen anything before the later parts of the Freeza arc). At this point I still wasn't too clear on the fact that DBZ had already ran in its entirely in Japan years before, so it didn't occur to me that they might be characters who simply hadn't appeared in the dub yet.

It wasn't too long afterwards that the Funi dub of the Boo arc first began airing, and when I saw the Great Saiyaman, I thought he looked familiar for some reason. I digged out one of my old issues of EGM, and sure enough, there he was among the action figures shown in the back. It was an odd feeling, to see this character who for me had just debuted on TV featured in an old, dusty magazine I had almost forgotten about. Sort of like the end of "The Shadow Out of Time", in a really vague way. At any rate, that was the first time I really got a sense of how old DragonBall actually was.

I remember misinterpreting a summary that said Trunks killed Freeza. I thought Trunks went to Planet Namek and killed Freeza when I read that.

When playing the rom of Super Butoden 3, my friend told me Dabura was the reincarnated Zarbon.

Like most people, I thought Gohan in DB Final Bout was Yamcha. :P

I used to think that "Age", when referring to the year in Dragon Ball, was pronounced "ah-geh", like you would've pronounced it in Japanese. I never realized until about a year ago that it was the actual English word.

I thought John O'Hurley was the FUNimation voice of Cell for awhile...

I thought Yamcha was Trunks. This was during Toonami during the Freeza arc, so long before Trunks was around. From the wonders of the interwebs, I knew that Trunks was a character that many considered to be cute but I had no idea what he looked like. I decided that, since Yamcha was the cutest character there, that he had to be Trunks.

I remember having two little figures of Janemba, and one had a tail, the other had no tail but had a sword, so I thought his tail turned into a sword...

The first time I saw an episode with cell (The one where he fights Piccolo in Ginger Town) I thought he was Goku from the future since he could use the Kamehameha. I thought the virus didn't kill him after all and just mutated him or something.

I also tought that when Saiyan goes to transform on USSJ, his pupils dissapear, because of Broli and some artworks so I tought that this is the coolest transformation because they really look evil and cool, because I didn't see that in show at that time....

Holy crap, yes! I have a lot of old pictures where I badly copied the symbol on people's gis as the big "Z" in DBZ with random boxes on it. Took me forever to realize any better.

Back in the day before any of this stuff was anywhere near being on American TV, I thought the Android and Cell sagas were completely separate from each other. I believed this until I was actually watching the episodes themselves for the first time, and I was absolutely stunned how tied together they really were.

Before I realized that Namekians only have the one gender, I reasoned that the the short, wrinkly Namekians were female, and the tall fighter-types (those that looked like Nail and Piccolo) were male. I figured that this was true because the short wrinklies were always shown taking care of the children.
