Ah, sorry. Have to keep in mind that you're handling like a dozen other requests for information about this stuff. I shall keep patient!Haseowolf wrote:That's on the list. Uploading the Dragon Book pics ATM in preparation for posting then gonna go back and edit my previous posts with the new scans. Don't worry, I'm hard at work.
[Too excited to sleep! Gotta get some rest soon though. Forgive me, everyone!]
Can I please be pointed to actual pics that I might actually use, or should I just use what I think is OK and hold my breath to see if I'm in trouble again?godofchaos wrote:I wasn't yelling, I was being 'loudly polite'.DemonRin wrote:I'd make a 3-way comparison now, but I'd rather not be yelled at again, so yeah...

The last batch of pictures Haseo posted are as proper as we can get for our Dragonbox for the time being.DemonRin wrote: Can I please be pointed to actual pics that I might actually use, or should I just use what I think is OK and hold my breath to see if I'm in trouble again?
And throwing "Fucks" into your reply is hardly polite >_>
Wow, FUNI actually made it look better than the Japanese DVDs. There's less video noise now. I'm impressed. I remember when Mike was discussing the whole video quality issue in the podcast, he was saying that they aren't using the exact same video as the Japanese DVDs, because they were actually getting the masters from that remastering for the DVD. Well, for the first time since 2003, we have better releases of Dragon Ball than Japan (We had Dragon Ball on DVD, but they didn't) I can't wait to get my Dragon Box in the mail!SSj_Rambo wrote:Here's a quick video comparison (FUNi, DBox):

The Dragon Box (from Japan) is 448kbps.DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:So I assume the Japanese DBOX had more kbps, then? Not sure exactly what it is though.Haseowolf wrote: From what I could see, the Japanese track is only 96kbps stream, but it did sound quite full and clear.

Eep! Cool down a little, man. I know you feel gipped, but there's no point in going back to the same thing repeatedly. If you're really that upset, couldn't you just take it into PMs?DemonRin wrote:Can I please be pointed to actual pics that I might actually use, or should I just use what I think is OK and hold my breath to see if I'm in trouble again?godofchaos wrote:I wasn't yelling, I was being 'loudly polite'.DemonRin wrote:I'd make a 3-way comparison now, but I'd rather not be yelled at again, so yeah...

There is far more digital noise on the Funi version in the 2 images you posted, so I don't know what you are talking about.TheLiberator wrote: Wow, FUNI actually made it look better than the Japanese DVDs. Sorry about that! But, we can't really do much else until the set is in godofchaos' hands to really tell.godofchaos wrote:There is far more digital noise on the Funi version in the 2 images you posted, so I don't know what you are talking about.TheLiberator wrote: Wow, FUNI actually made it look better than the Japanese DVDs. But as I said, I think something is wrong with Haseo's decoding.
First off, I'm a girl, second off, I just wana make a side-by-side comparison image, but I was rather rudely told not to, so now I'm just trying to make sure if I make another one, It'll be ok.KinoFourpaws wrote:Eep! Obviously I'm no moderator, but... c'mon, Haseo's in the middle of bringing us something awesome; do we really need bickering about this and that in the middle of all of this?
I disagree from what I'm seeing, but in any case it's worth noting that comparison isn't lossless. Plus, as you compress an image, grain is usually one of the first things to be lost (as it is fine detail), wouldn't call it noise though ;pTheLiberator wrote:Wow, FUNI actually made it look better than the Japanese DVDs. If it helps to know any, I use the words "man" and "dude" rather loosely when referring to anyone - the gender doesn't matter. You will never find me saying something like "Oh, c'mon, girl" to anybody. I just don't talk like that.DemonRin wrote:First off, I'm a girl, second off, I just wana make a side-by-side comparison image, but I was rather rudely told not to, so now I'm just trying to make sure if I make another one, It'll be ok.
Fact of the matter is, the DBox shot Rambo posted is just a BIT Too small, so until someone posts good Toei DBox shots, I can't do anything without being told off again.
I can't help but agree with you on this one, Chu. It just seems very odd. ._.Chuquita wrote:It feels both surreal and interesting to see real world history mixed into that timeline.
