Thanks for all the info, Haseowolf!

It's nice to see Tezuka mentioned as well.

"Surreal", definitely. But I was thinking more of the lines of "pointless."

Seriously why would I need to know or (care about) the exact date Goku was revived? Is it a national holiday in Japan that I'm not fully aware of? If they needed to fill up some pages why not just add some lewd pictures of Bulma and Chichi?

No, that would just be plain silly.

The holiday is on the day he died.

The point is that it shows when major episodes of the anime originally aired, in comparision to important real world events. It's to provide some context for when the show originally came out.
If they needed to fill up some pages why not just add some lewd pictures of Bulma and Chichi?
They've already got that covered:

You know I've seen that picture of Bulma in the pink dress before, but only on some type of card; I've never actually seen it in the show. (Anyone know where it's from?)

And if Goku had a holiday, it would be marked by a yearly gigantic special martial arts tournament and gobs of food.

Also, schools would be closed that day and all students would have off. :3

Episode 59. Says so right there.

She's imagining wearing a necklace made with one of those massive pearls she tries getting before running into The Crab.
Yes, it's from THAT episode.

Am I the only one still wondering about this?

I'll eat my shorts if anyone gets it by the weekend. I don't even think they have it in at FUNi HQ, yet...
Lol, j/k.

Yes, it's from THAT episode.
OH. That episode. @_@

It kinda feels like a waste using that nice design for The Crab episode.
(Then again, at least it shows up in an episode; I have a scan of Bulma wearing a kame gi and another where she's wearing a bridal gown and she shows up in neither of those in the series.)

Thank you though! :3

Those are both illustrations made especially for the Bouken Special, a special Jump issue that came out during the Daimao arc.

Still waiting for an answer from two pages!

Now... I guess you know my usuall question whenever there's a new major release...

Region Codes!

If it's not working for Region 2 players, it should work at least on Region 4, right?

I took an old LG DVD/VHS player from under the dust, and it playes Region 2 & 4 DVDs, but not Region 1. :( It'll take me sometime to be able to play it on my Laptop... but hey, at least I'll be able watch it.

Now, we see that the discs overlap eachother... does it mean that the size of the box is smaller than the Japanese one?

I knew I should have preordered from RightStuf.

Guh....guhhh....

Words are failing me, but for the first time in a LONG ARSE TIME I feel glad to be throwing my money at Funimation for an American Dragon Ball release.

At least at first glance: I'm happy, satisfied, and will jump for joy like a 10-year-old when I get this in the mail. And no more huge amounts of nitpicking for me, I'm sooooo glad about that one......

(Although yeah, I also ordered from Amazon....the 17th needs to come effin faster....@_@...)

Oh well, I'll try to hack my player to make it play R1.

It'll be a looooooooong time before I'll be able to get a new laptop and install all the softwares needed.

Why is everyone complaining about the timeline chart in the DragonBook? It was in the Japanese DragonBook so we got it too. I thought it's neat they included all that info and translated into English.

I don't know.

People like to complain I guess.

The more things included the better!

I also love they included the original air dates for each episode too!
