Haha, as weird as it sounds, I'm right there with you.

It just seems like a really odd design choice. It isn't a deal breaker, by any means, but, all the same.

Considering how easy it seems to just reposition and re-size images in the making of the US DBox, it seems that they could very easily just bump Gohan up a few notches so more of him appears on the spine.

Yeah it just makes me uncomfortable lol. I really want it to be on the right. And you can't even move it since it messes up the picture.

I also want to ask, those of you who have the DBox and has shown it I've noticed that you guys have been putting in on your shelves with the box spine showing instead of the partial image, why is that?

Aaaalrighty, I'm going to fangirl about this for a few minutes, don't mind me.

So I got home from work after midnight on Friday to find my Dragon box sitting by itself on the kitchen table- I ordered it through my brother's account on Rightstuf and he must have opened the package that came in while I was out. So it's almost like it magically appeared and I ended up just sitting on the kitchen floor for half an hour with tears of joy in my eyes as I opened it and went over how shiny and gorgeous it was. I squealed when i realized the book read right-to-left. And even though I knew they used the proper names I squealed even louder at reading "Piccolo Daimaou" in English in an official American release. I didn't expect it to be so... shiny. The foil for the title was a lovely surprise. It's just so bloody lovely all-around.

I've so far watched through... I think the Princess Snake episode on my little tv so far, a few eps every night until I start falling asleep. And it's 90% completely awesome with just little things striking me as odd. Some are just me getting disoriented because I'm so used to the hacked up version, like being floored to realize the "Gohan walks off proudly with tears fluttering away from his face" scene belongs to the end of the Robot ep, not the Dinosaur one. Then there's confusion about the completely inoffensive stuff that was cut, like Guumayo bringing toys for Gohan- what the hell was FUNi on? There is however, one thing that bothers me deeply about the product itself... and that's this.

Piccolo is the wrong effing color. You can trust me when I say that I spend a lot of time staring at this man, and when he's suddenly minty-soft green in half his shots instead of the warmer yellowish tone it's going to start to drive me a little nuts after a while. Like here's an example of a cel where he's strongly lit to show the lightest he gets, I'd guess from around the Android sage

Image

... It just really starts to bother me after a while <_< But hell, it's the Dragonbox so I'll live with it. Yaaay Dragonbox!

I dunno... I'd've thought that a "minty fresh" Piccolo would be more appealing to fangirls than a "buttered peas" Piccolo... :?

The soft minty green is a helluva lot better than Season Sets dark mossy green. It was kind of unsettling at first. I was used to the soft minty Piccolo from Dragon Ball, then watching Z for the first time with that first season set, all of a sudden he was froggy green.

I swear. I tried to make it as little of a disturbance as I could while still getting my point across.

....wow. I'm so tempted, but I think I might just man up and wait on it XD;

With Amazon I'll save 10 dollars versus buying it from rightstuf, however I would like to have this for the Thanksgiving Break and I don't know if I'll have it from Amazon by then. I assume I will. Amazon delivery estimates are usually way off.
Way off in what way? Like they come before or after they say?

My delivery date says November 20th- 24th.

I thought about cancelling and pre-ordering from Rightstuf too, but I need the extra $10 lol.
Normally earlier. Most things I buy come way before the delivery estimate. Might also be due to where I am located. I just want it by Thanksgiving break (26th-ish) which would be nice.

Yeah I'm anticipating an email from Amazon soon saying it's shipped. So hoping it will happen within the week.

He's not just green.

He's Big Green.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. Is it going by the order they received pre-orders or just random? I put in my pre-order back in like the middle of August so I'd hope I'd have higher priority.

Hi guys. I have a question. For the next release, are they planning on re-dubbing Goku's lines during the Ginyu/Frieza parts?
I showed this show in english to my little cousin and was embarrassed by how bad the voice got. Especially after Goku sounded so great during the start, because they had redubbed that portion of the show.

I explained everything and even provided listings from Amazon and Wal-mart, but the man said he can't speak for the other stores, so Target is probably right... should have mentioned that even FUNimation listed the new date on their site, oh well. If I can purchase my Dragon Box a week earlier than I'm supposed to and get it for the best price around, I'm fine!
You've talked about not wanting to be embarrassed about being a DBZ fan because of peoples reactions.

It's people who act like you who CAUSE that reaction to the franchise .

Adam Sheehan said no additional dubbing was being done for the Dragon Box. For any releases down the line...there's no confirmation.

You having an unhealthy obsession with one character does not make you an expert on what color his skin should be, whether you have 'proof' of one cel with different color or not.

If that color drives you that insane, don't watch it.

I believe quite a bit of that sort of stuff was simply cut for time, as Funi had to edit the original 30+ episodes of the Saiyan arc down into a 26 episode US broadcast season.

Ah debating Piccolo's greeness, this is why I love you Daizex.
