Cell has made his presence known, and our heroes have become outclassed just as fast as they became the strongest. Do we finally have an interesting villain for the story arc, or is everything just a little too convenient and confusing? Geez. There is just so much stuff coming out this month! I don't envy any of those "I gotta have everything" types of collectors.

Yeeeeep. And this episode's list cuts off things that are already out, like the DragonBall Kai Song Collection CD, and I didn't yet include the Raging Blast strategy guide (I know there's a JP one, but not sure about an American one...).

Thanks! I could have looked it up, but didn't :P. That was the one with the randomly-awful sound quality, right...? Not sure what happened, there... even 64 episodes in I was still figuring things out...

Huh. Didn't think much of the 10th Anniversary Special? I thought it was the best of the Dragon Ball movies. Certainly better than the three that came before it. The only thing that bothered me was the GT-style Goku.

He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Is it just me or did some of you also found it ''weird'' that Nr.16 warned Tenshinhan to run. What does he care about someone else right? Well, apparently he does in some sort of way in contrast to what many people might think about him. It's a very brief moment but I’d like to believe Toriyama gave us a glimpse about his true character.

Yeah, #16 is a gentle giant-type guy, like Eighter. He's programmed to kill Goku, but other than that, he's got no real reason or desire to see anything or anyone else get hurt.

Darn, I tried to take time restraints into consideration and weed out the less important notes I had, but I guess I didn't cut it down enough. Oh well, I know I haven't got nearly as much for the next volume.

Good point. He becomes very stern and to-the-point when it comes to his intentions/purpose with killing Son Goku... but that's about it. (All) other life he seems to value. Very strange...!

Gah! That is actually the first place I looked, only I guess their "ドラゴンボール" search results are not sorted by newest to oldest, like I assumed (and thus, made an ass-uv-me)... Thanks!

Hey, good episode all around.

I do have to point out though, that the line Goku says in the Viz version ("He's fighting the mechanical men" If I remember correctly), actually is correct.

Remember, at this point, Goku still hasn't seen what they look like yet. He's just drawing from memory, so it's not exactly an error. As well, that actual phrase "mechanical men" is very awkward to say, which I think works in Goku's favor, seeing as how usually he has no idea of what he's talking about.

As well, Mike, please I beg you, stop saying "Sai-yans". It's just so horrible to say and even worse to listen to. I understand that maybe you don't want to say "Saiyan", fine. Then at least say "Saiya-jin." I can take that. Please. :D

If I say "Saiyan" a la FUNimation (which I refuse to), then I'm saying the word wrong and all the purists (myself included!) have a problem with it.

If I say "Saiya-jin", all the FUNimation loyalists troll me on YouTube with personal comments about my mother.

If I say "Saiyan" correctly, NO CAMP can accept it.

I agree with A LOT of what you're saying about Cell, specifically how much of Son Goku he has within him.

At the same time, I think we're projecting too much of what we know WILL happen and how he WILL act, rather than what's going on in this particular volume. Right now he's still very much booeeeeh and self-serving. He doesn't seem to care too much about how great the fight will be and how exciting it is to fight such a strong opponent; quite the opposite, in fact, since he's purposefully avoiding them so he doesn't have to fight them.
