So Amazon charges for shipping for items over $25? :(
I guess I read the free shipping thing incorrectly. I thought if it was over that price the shipping was free.
You have to select the option when you're checking out, but that's typically how it works.

SHINOBI-03 doesn't appear to live in the United States, however, so he may not get the same perks we do.

Hey everybody... Just a heads-up for anyone living in or around Atlanta, GA. The Best Buy near Cumberland Mall is selling the Dragon Box early. I just bought mine 20 minutes ago.

Hope that helps someone else who can't wait out.

Yes... no... I mean it is technically the cheapest price. It was released today on Target's online store (I guess they never got the memo that the release date was changed). The set, for whatever reason, is only available online and not in stores. I followed up on my (not stupid) call to Target and asked if it was in stock: The employee's reply was no because they don't get all anime titles. Target doesn't have the biggest electronics section, so I can understand (I remember the GT season sets never being available there, too). Anyway, with shipping and everything else included, Amazon is the best place to buy online. Wal-mart is the cheapest in-store place, selling the Dragon Box for $67.
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

Actually, if you wait for one of their FUNimation Sales, Right Stuff is the cheapest place. The DBox is only costing me $45 before shipping, and I got it shipped with the Next One Piece set (so I don't have it yet) but that was my choice and had nothing to do with the cost.

But whose to say that they'll have a sale anytime soon...? It's like when someone said they'd wait until the set lowers to $30 at Wal-mart.

I just got a job at Wal-Mart so I'll be getting a DISCOUNT on this stuff! Wooo! Not to mention free site-to-store so I can get any DVD or game I want at Wal-Mart's price minus fifteen percent.

Checked my local Best Buy just for the heck of it (a quick price match with Target and I'd get the box a week earlier than I expected for the same price just about). No go here in Northern Virginia. However, I did get Heat on Blu-ray (which is an amazing film), so the trip wasn't a complete loss ;)

I checked my local Best Buy in Ames, IA on my way home this afternoon, and they have three copies out on their shelves. However, I wasn't willing to pay almost full price, so I'll still be waiting for the 17th when my pre-ordered copy from Amazon arrives, which was still cheaper with rushed shipping than it would be at Best Buy.

I checked mine, 3 copies. I wanted to buy one, but I'm short on cash for the month.

But then down the line... you realize that FUNimation got something right with this release, and you bust down and give in... and buy them... and cry tears of happiness...

Crap, I just gave my initial reaction when I got it

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

Just a quick heads up, if you or anyone else runs into this, since Target has the box up for what is basically Amazon's price, you could have Best Buy do a price match and walk away with the same deal.

Dammit, I might actually go out now and check, you tempting bastards... :(

Many stores will not match online prices.

Eh, the three stores in my area (Springfield, Potomac Mills and Fair Lakes) have never given me any issues. Then again, I'm regular enough that I know most of the customer service people.

Yeah, I decided going out again tonight was just me being goofy. I'll check tomorrow on my lunch break, I've got a Best Buy just a stone's throw away from my office. If it's there, I'll snag it.

You might have trouble matching their price to Target's. Take a look:
Best Buy Online Customer Service wrote:If you find a lower price on BestBuy.com or in a Best Buy Retail Store for the same brand and model during the exchange and return period, we will match that price. For purchases made on BestBuy.com, we will not match our competitors' store or website prices.

GoC beat ya to it man. Though, to be fair, you did cite their FAQ while he did not. xP
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Keep in mind that I won't be buying online, I'll be walking into their brick and mortar store. Besides, worst case, I'll wait for my Amazon order to arrive and then take that brand new shrink-wrapped copy back to Best Buy and return it. There's nothing wrong with that.

I've had a lot of experience on Wikipedia (I may or may not have been banned from editing a few times because of the policy) and be sure to cite my facts now. Well, at least where it matters. On top of that, godofchaos gave a generalization, I stated the actual facts. :)
