Why would they need to remove the vocals through archaic means? These are modern productions -- no doubt there are full, multi-track masters of each and every song. Hell, karaoke versions of most of them exist across the two
Kai original soundtracks and the new
Koro-chan Pack CDs.

I'm not watching a whole lot of modern dubs, but I believe the standard practice is to simply leave them as-is in Japanese during the show.
I don't know if we have all the reasons for which songs were removed during the original
DragonBall, but the ones that stayed, they
did play when it was on Cartoon Network, right? What reason would they have for removing them
now when aired on TV? Highly doubtful.
Not that there's anything said about a TV broadcast, and not that any of us should expect anything other than digital distribution, me thinks...
