Lol i was in the shower earlier and my mind wondered into thinking about Dragonball Z Abridged (like you do

) and i was thinking about what could happen next with Goku on his journey to Namek and thought to myself, Wouldn't it be funny is somone back on earth decided to help Goku train by messing with the gravity controls (Popo anyone?

)

Popo - HIIIIII!!!!!!!
Goku - OH GOD!!!

It could be an alternate to the lightning storm bit during his journey.

Thats just my thought anyway

I can't shake the thought that Abridged Nappa was an influence when they were dubbing him for Kai. I'm just watching episode 11 (of Kai that is) and it really seems that way.

No, not really. His appearance makes him slightly resemble a German.

If anything I always thought 19 looked somewhat German because his hat resembles a Pickelhaube (kinda).

Really? I have not seen any of the Kai episodes featuring Nappa but that would be pretty sweet.
