He means that it can't be your opinion that Toriyama said the 1/4 Saiyan thing. It's okay if you choose to believe the 1/4 theory yourself, though. For example, it's not like you can say "France is a city, because that's my opinion!"jordanator wrote:Fine. This is not my opinion. Instead, I agree with this statement, and I believe it. One good reason I believe this, is because that it mostly applies in real life. Is that okay? As in, do you understand my logic behind it?"Toriyama said this" isn't an opinion though. It's just wrong. But sure, you can believe that you need more than 1/4th Saiyan blood to go Super Saiyan if you want.
Okay, how is it "just wrong''? Now, that is your opinion.

Because Toriyama didn't actually say the thing in question. It's not that complicated.jordanator wrote:Fine. This is not my opinion. Instead, I agree with this statement, and I believe it. If your theory is only to make you feel content, why are you bothering to post it online and debate it with other people?I haven't thought as far in to it as you have, and I do not intend to. By doing that, I reveal new plot holes to myself, which makes me enjoy the show less as I can't get it out of my head, generally leading to me thinking the show isn't as good as I thought. I only thought that theory up quickly, as I only wanted an answer that made me feel content.

Toriyama didn't say what in question? What's not complicated? I didn't ask anything.Because Toriyama didn't actually say the thing in question. It's not that complicated.
I posted that theory(why did I EVEN call it a theory;it's my thought on the topic) because I wanted to show others how Iif your theory is only to make you feel content, why are you bothering to post it online and debate it with other people?
felt about the topic, and what I thought, also, I then asked Bussani if he/she understood my logic. I'm not debating it, Bussani corrected my theory/thought, which I have no problem with, and I explained to Bussani that I didn't think about it that much as he/she had.

Yeah, I understand. Like I said, you can believe what you want about that. I haven't tried to tell you once that you can't believe this theory.jordanator wrote:Fine. This is not my opinion. I didn't say your opinion was "just wrong". I said DB wiki was "just wrong" about Toriyama saying anything like it. Please don't take this as me trying to tell you that you're wrong for your theory, because that's not what I'm saying at all.Okay, how is it "just wrong''? Now, that is your opinion.

This is just Toriyama's "if I made Vegeta Jr., this is how I'd do it"--or that's how the rumor goes, anyway. Goku Jr.'s tree would likely be different to match. In other words, this tree can't be applied to GT canon as it is.Dayspring wrote:Waitaminit, waitaminit. How can Vegeta Jr be the same age as Goku Jr, yet three generations older?

That was an honest mistake, and I apologise, as I thought you were talking about my opinion, rather than the website.

Saddened by the over focus of Super Saiyans and lack of dragon balls in a theoretical new Dragon Ball series.

Looks like Lunch after all found Tenshinhan in the end. I can't stop thinking it is pretty much ridiculous she spent almost 30 years looking for him (less if you think she found him before the Saiyans arrived).Herms wrote:Anyway, Toriyama’s supposed family tree doesn’t have Goku and Vegeta’s lines merging, but instead has Vegeta’s line merge with pretty much everyone else’s. I hope this "family tree" remains a rumour, as I strongly doubt that Tenshinhan and Lunch had a child.Senzu_Bean wrote:Looks like Lunch after all found Tenshinhan in the end. As someone else pointed out in the chat... Did Tenshinhan and Lunch have their kid in the Cell saga? If not, the age difference between her and Trunks could be as worrying as the fact that Vegeta Jr.'s parents seem to be cousins.

Re: Why Toriyama Doesn't Want Continue Dragon Ball Again?
Nope. Toriyama confirmed that Lunch never found Tenshinhan. So for the tree to take effect, they meet up again, finally, at some point after the 28th budokai. Best case scenario, Trunks' wife is 4 years, 9 month younger than Pan.Bussani wrote:As someone else pointed out in the chat... Did Tenshinhan and Lunch have their kid in the Cell saga? If they made a new series then retconned the whole SSj4 Transformation. I won't mind a new series if it was done right, I think GT sucked since they had the wrong people working on it.

I actually liked Movie 1 in general and the background behind Garlic Jr as a character. The Garlic Jr arc, however.........Bussani wrote:The same people who brought us Garlic Jr. and Fake Namek? I remember loving both the Fake Namek and Garlic Jr. arcs when I first saw them on TV...
...I'm kind of afraid to rewatch them and see how they've held up after all these years. I'll give them a chance through.

Re: Why Toriyama Doesn't Want Continue Dragon Ball Again?
Mostly it was, but with some important differences. For instance, the series directors for DB were Minoru Okazaki and Daisuke Nishio, and for Z it was Daisuke Nishio again. However, for GT the series director was instead Osamu Kasai, who seems to have joined the staff around the afterlife tournament arc, and directed several Boo era episodes. And while Takao Koyama was in charge of series organization for DB and DBZ (he also wrote all the DBZ movie scripts), for GT series organization was left to Aya Matsui, who was the scenario writer for the afterlife tournament story arc.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:Wrong people? How worrying it is would kind of depend on when they get together, I suppose. If there's, say, an 8 year difference between them, then them hooking up when Trunks is 24 and she's 16 would be pretty creepy, but if it happens when Trunks is 38 and she's 30, then not so much. But it does bear repeating that there's no official source for this family tree.Bussani wrote:As someone else pointed out in the chat... Did Tenshinhan and Lunch have their kid in the Cell saga? The Afterlife Tournament people? I guess that explains why GT was all over the place, then.Herms wrote:Mostly it was, but with some important differences. It would be at least a 19-year difference, though, since the earliest they could meet is sometime after the 28th budokai. How worrying it is would kind of depend on when they get together, I suppose.
