I know what lolicon is. And there's no way Toei intended Bra to qualify while the show was in production. If the 5 year thing were never mentioned no way in hell anybody here would even consider the possibility Bra was prepubescent because every piece of evidence in the actual show says otherwise.

He certainly got pretty fatherly when he tried to kill those two guys. If Vegeta got that pissed over a couple of guys flirting with her why would he let his 9 year old daughter leave the house dressed like that?

Only thing is, if Bra was meant to be a teen, where's her t&a? I'm always amazed by all the people that claim she's older than Pan and oh-so-hot and 'look at her clothes' that always seem to overlook the fact that Bra got nuthin in the front, and nuthin in the back. Hell, Pan is shorter than her always regarded as younger than her and even she's packin more back than Bra is.

And you just can't compare her to Bulma. Bulma was 16 when DB started and already had an admirable bust and ass when the series started. Bra's height and such already suggest she was younger than Bulma's first DB appearance.

Sounds to me this is the likely scenario. Toei produced the show fully intending Bra to be 14ish and it wasn't until everything was said and done that they went "Oh...5 years later." It sounds like essentially a retcon that just happens to not be very sensible.

1. GT sucks and does not exist. Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z are closer to the manga. Manga is more cannon.
2. Bra can too exist because you have losers like Yamucha, Tenshinhan, Chiaotzu, Oolong, and Puar still hanging around why not her?
3. If you remember in the anime (not sure for manga) Bulma mentioned to Teen Gohan that Vegeta had just started training Trunks (around age of eight) because his body was not suitable for it at a younger age. This may have been the case for Bra. She looked around 6 at the end of DBZ.
4. Even though Vegeta did soften up a bit at the end of DBZ, don't think it was by much like they showed in GT (that was atrocious). If he saw that at age 4, Pan (lineage of Goku or Kakaroto) was showing up Bra (with royal saiyan blood) in strength, I would think good ole Veg would handle matters to see to it that that does not happen.
5. If she is the feminist that I think she is I think Bulma would actually approve of Vegeta training Bra. Why should the men be the only ones dominating the combat realm?
6. At the end of DBZ Bra showed some sort of admiration towards her father. Maybe this could turn into some interest to fight if she wants to have that father/daughter time.
7. At the end of DBZ Vegeta threatens Trunks with taking his allowance if he doesn't do what he says. I'm guessing he would use the same logic Bra as well. That and perks like going to the amuesment park if you lay a punch on him. =)
8. At the end of DBZ you see Bra as having a dress on so I guess you could say she is more girlier. She is also out spoken. Gee I wonder where she got that from?
9. Trunks and Bra you both have refined genes for loud and violent outbursts. So the nice and shy Trunks throw that out the window. Trunks as an adult should have been a more elaborate version of him as a kid (like scarcastic and being the leader). So could you imagine Capsule Corp. household if all four of them get into an arguement?
10. GT should have played out like this. Bra is mean, prideful, stuck up, popular, rich... like Paris Hilton but smarter and with Vegeta insults. As a teen and adult she would have a huge boobs like her mom but instead men throw themselves at her and she treats them like servents and does not care. Bra would not be friends with Pan but rivals (yes Goku and Vegeta all over again but girl version). Bra of course has the up on her with looks and status to put down Pan (flat chested eh?). Her motivation to become stronger (and mind you I did not say "start" training) would be that Pan embarrassed her one day in defeating her in fight. Some how something happens enemy comes both get stronger but Bra easily goes Super Saiyan. This is where the theory of inheirted Super Saiyan gene comes in. Each time the parent Saiyan counter part achieves a new level their germ cells are enhanced to allow their offspring to acquire these levels with ease. Which would explain why Trunks and Goten went SSJ at such a young age. Somewhere she has a humbling moment falls for Goten and Goten eventually for her. Vegeta gets super pissed at this pairing humoristic situations ensue. Vegeta eventually caves. Goten and Bra get to have super SSJ kids because they are both Goku and Vegeta lineage. Oh and Pan hooks up with Uub. Trunks not so sure... I would not hook up with a chick with no nose (Marron).

Not to mention that Toriyama's Earlier Manga, Dr. Slump proves that toriyama during the 80's had no idea of proper age proportions, specially considering than theres a girl, Tsun tsurutin that's supposed to be 15-16 but looks 9, and his brother is supposed to be 13 but looks 17, and not to mention, the second and third parts of the manga, has these proportions.



but, then again there were animes & mangas that do the opposite, by having Adult looking teenagers like Sailormoon and the Anime of Knights of the Zodiac.
