Automatic Log-Off?

Post by Piccolo Daimao » Mon Dec 06, 2010 12:23 pm

I've been having a problem recently. Whenever I log in and try to use the forum, it randomly logs me off. This appears to happen especially when I go to the User Control Panel. Can anyone help me?

Have you tried deleting your Daizex cookies?

Yeah, thanks. The problem seems to have stopped now.

OK, wtf? It's happening again, even after I delete my board cookies, and it's not especially when I go to the User Control Panel anymore.

Seriously, has anyone else had this problem? Even when I log in, it instantly logs me out again? It's even stopping me from getting to my profile. Daizex, can you fix this?

CCleaner might help. Run it every time you close down IE/Firefox. I'm not sure if it will solve your problem, but it's worth a try.

I use AOL for this computer, but I have Firefox on my laptop. Will it still work?

I'm not sure about AOL, give it a try and see what happens. It will definitely work with Firefox.

AOL doesn't appear on my CCleaner, but that's probably because I don't use it. It might show up when you open it though.

Oh, wait. It says you have to pay for it. I just want a free program that will erase this problem. Or, if it's down to the forum, for them to fix it.

Yep, I tried it. And it didn't even fucking work. Does it just not work on AOL? Is it Daizex's problem?

You seem to be the only one having any kind of issue...

Does the automatic log off only happen when you’re using AOL? Is anybody else on the forum using AOL and having the same problem?

Alright, two things speaking as a former AOL tech-support rep:

1. The AOL browser is just a shell over Internet Explorer, clearing the Windows Control Panel "Internet Options" cache and cookies should fix this issue.

2. Don't use the AOL browser. It is absolute garbage. Just don't use it. Please, I'm begging you.

That's what I was going to suggest to Piccolo Daimao if he was only having the problem with AOL :D. I'm using Firefox and don't have any problems.

Yeah, I haven't been having this problem with Firefox on my laptop. I suppose it's because I use AOL on my computer, even though I have Firefox installed as well. Thanks for the information! :)
