Yes, I was assuming that. I wanted to compare the (most likely) Tankoubon-based VizBigs to the 3 images that were posted, but then Hujio made a proper comparison for us.B wrote:Wait, I thought the VizBigs were still Tankoubon?SSJ Helldog wrote:I didn't know about the extra 3 pages upon Buu's defeat either; thanks for those! Now I just have to wait about 20 years for VizBig to get to that point so I can compare.
I just delved into Dragonball Vol. 13, and it struck me that DB is one of the few manga that I can read and get nearly the same effect as the anime. I attribute this to Toriyama's design background and his clean art. Often I find myself reading manga and just trying to figure out what I'm looking at in the panel, or how one panel has transitioned to the next. I've got to find someone who hasn't seen DB to get hooked on the manga.

Hujio's scan is just a tad too small for me to read, but going by memory it's something like "Took him long enough. Man, he looks happy, what a bastard".

There was a bigger scan posted earlier: http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l210/ ... l/185a.jpg
So it's basically, "Tch, looking so happy like that....that bastard really pisses me off. Hmph." So, you know, just the usual way Vegeta expresses his undying love for Gokuu
Man, I'm loving that smirk in the last panel. I think I'll have to make that my next avatar.

Re: Kanzenban & Tankoubon
I know I'm necro-posting, but I think this thread might be the best place to ask the question of Kanzenban censorship. I've heard that the Kanzenban censored some stuff that was uncut in the original Jump serials and the tankobon releases, such as Bulma smoking. Could someone please give me a thorough rundown of what was censored in the Kanzenban editions?

I have a nostalgic soft spot for the Dragon Ball 10th anniversary movie. Ditto the Buu saga.

As far as I know, the only thing censored was this cover: http://www.kanzentai.com/chp.php?id=005John Pannozzi wrote:I know I'm necro-posting, but I think this thread might be the best place to ask the question of Kanzenban censorship. As you can see, they censored Bulma smoking. Besides that, the Kanzenban only has some corrections (which were stated in this topic and that are not censorship) and a few extra pages/panels.

Pretty sure Bulma's cigarette is the only bit of censorship in the kanzenban. And even then, it's not like they just erased the cigarette; the entire image was redone by Toriyama.John Pannozzi wrote:I know I'm necro-posting, but I think this thread might be the best place to ask the question of Kanzenban censorship. Oh, so Toriyama redid some of the chapter title pages? So that's why this title page looked somewhat different to me.Herms wrote:Pretty sure Bulma's cigarette is the only bit of censorship in the kanzenban. Although it still looks like Toriyama's old art style, only with the Kanzenban colouring.

That one looks different. The chapter title page with Goku, Taopaipai and Bora has the tonal shading and colour of the Kanzenban. That one with Cell just looks like normal shading.

Re: Kanzenban & Tankoubon
Interesting! In the first picture, it seems Toriyama slipped up and originally had Goku saying "ore" instead of "ora." Guess he was getting used to Goku speaking as a Super Saiyan.v3g374 wrote:First reply, yaay! Hello guys!
