But isn't replication the sincerest form of flattery?

Heh, but it would be flattering Toriyama. Why would flattering Toriyama make us enjoy that kind of work anymore than we do, eh? It's us that count, and if you want to compliment Dragonball's creator, a simple "Akira Toriyama is god" would suffice, I'm sure.

My favorite is "Vegetrunks," but not for the reason you're aiming for: he looks like an AMAZING original Saiyan instead of a fusion of Vegeta + Trunks.

I also reeeaaaally like "Damn Dirty Ape."

You need to team up with someone (or go solo if you want) and do a fanmanga. I strongly suggest pre-Vegetasei-kaboom Saiyan stories. :P

Yeah, but theres enough of that, and I'm sure if you were to ask, free money is the sincerest form of flattery.

Anywho, I agree with Dayspring, you really should do some sort of fan-manga.

Heh. But there are still those of us who take pride in trying to replicate the master's work, and we need support too.

Heheheh.

Once again, holy freakin' shit that's good.

Hey if you're still taking requests, could you do SS4 Vegeta firing a Big Bang Attack please? Your style is great and the use of colours is awesome.

What?! No! He has to do Oozaru (with saiyan uniforms on) duking it out first! :P

I'd love to have seen a flashback scene in the manga/anime where Freeza had to transform in order to kill off King Vegeta + the royal guard who had all transformed into Oozaru. **Hint hint wink wink draw draw**

Would Oozaru King Vegeta still have the goatee?

XDDDDDDD

*ehem*

Anyway, since you're open to requests again I'll make another one. Krillin (with hair, obviously) and 18 sparring on Roshi's island.

Yup. And Oozaru Nappa would have ten-foot long bald spot.

Mike: Haha, I actually did that Kuriccolo picture JUST because I wanted to draw that attack, with his arm up and fingers pointing. :D

desirecampbell: Oh, so that WAS you on deviantART. :P

Zackarotto: I'm taking a break from posting stuff on dA. I'll be starting to upload them there when my college semester ends though (around mid-December).
Glad you like that Damn Dirty Ape. I think I messed some stuff up though. First, there's a lot of lack of symmetry in various aspects, and I just plain think I drew Goku too big in relation to the size of Vegeta. Oh well.

Dominator: Glad you got a kick out of those fusions. They were fun to come up with. :P

askani son: Haha. Not even Buu would dare try to take the mighty Yajiroku on in an eating contest.

Hao_Kaiser: It's an honour. :)
I noticed a few people using these as wallpapers, which really makes me wish I had made them FOR wallpapers, so you'd have something more appropriate to use. Are you resizing them OK...?

As far as not copying the original art, I always prefer to do it that way. I'm not telling everyone to do anything, I just mean, personally, I prefer seeing fanart in different styles. If I wanted to look at something that looked like the original, I could look at the original. Which is why I got a kick out of this section: http://www.daizex.com/multimedia/images ... ndex.shtml

Adnan: Thanks.

Dayspring: Really? Even if that's how you think, I'm surprised you think that anyway, since his design is so covered up by the attack.
Here's the original drawing for you.
Image

I don't think I'm up for a fanmanga. Comics are a huge commitment, and I don't think I could stick with it for long. I already have lots of other things I want to do. Those could be cool stories though..

lost in thought: I personally take more pride in doing my original stuff, even if it's not even half as good as something I used reference for.
Which is why I never show off my photo-duplication type pictures; I'm just not proud of them.
I'm not trying to put you down or anything though, please don't misunderstand. I think people should do whatever they like best. :)

Requests

Dominator: The Big Bang Attack doesn't look any different when he's SSJ4, does it?

Dayspring: You know, I actually was trying to do an Oozaru battle. But I didn't come up with anything cool, though it lead to the Damn Dirty Ape picture.
I was also thinking of a super-sized Piccolo (with that technique he does near the end of DragonBall) against an Oozaru Gohan. But I never invested much time in trying that.

As far as Freeza fighting Oozarus, can you be more specific?
-Like, where are they fighting (cause Oozaru is huge, but I thought King Vegeta was in Freeza's ship when he was killed, so I don't know how that would work).
-And who's this royal guard? Do you happen to have any screen captures of Vegeta against Freeza?
-Finally, which form of Freeza did you want?

Rocketman: Good question.

Xyex: Anything specific about that scene? And do you have any screen captures of that? I don't remember what they're wearing.

Sorry for the huge post. I haven't been here in a couple days. Thanks a lot, everyone. Glad you enjoyed these.

Ah.
Haha, alright. Glad to know I didn't start a fight with that. :P

Blast. I was going to get started on the new requests today, but since no one's come back to clarify, I can't. :o
Today would've been the most convenient day too; the rest of the week, I'm gonna be busy with school work.
I usually draw these at school, since I have lots of time between classes; but starting Tuesday, I should really get to work on a big assignment during my breaks.

No, the Big Bang doesn't look any different (I don't even think he uses it in GT). But I was hoping to see it dark red.

Sorry! I've been trying to upload a shtink of pics, but I think I've been webbugged by "Internet Optimizer." :x

The Royal Guard is comprised of basically the Saiyans in King Vegeta's throne room. In his death scene they didn't have capes.

Concerning Freeza: second form, aerial planet Vegeta shot, blocking a mouth blast from Oozaru King Vegeta (who's in the background) with one hand, chopping an Oozaru's tail (in the distance) off with a Kienzan, and beneath him is a bloodied Oozaru Bardock. Aside from Bardock, the other Oozaru can be in the background in order to make them as big as Freeza. You got your work cut out for you.

Don't have any screen shots of what they were wearing. I just remember a red short and brown pants on Krillin and 18 was in her denim outfit IIRC.
