Buu's Fury/DBGT: Transformation Compilation

Post by Mike » Sun Jan 08, 2006 1:26 pm

I sure everyone remembers the LOG 1 and LOG 2 Compilation that recently came out for GBA. It seems now Atari is going to be combining the next two LOG games, Buu's Fury and GT Transformation. Here's the preorder link I found over on amazon.com:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... videogames

I find it very strange that Atari would already combine GT Transformation for free with another DBZ game. GT Transformation was released only a few months ago. Is it possible the game was selling so bad that Atari felt they had to give you an extra incentive to buy the game?

On a side note has anyone actually bought the first LOG Compilation? I'm curious to see if anything has been changed.

Thanks for the info. 21 bucks ain't such a bad deal for 2 games, plus I never bothered buying either, so I should consider this.

Actually it's $29.99 for the two games. Still $30 for two fairly new games is definitely a good deal. Unless you own both games separately, like I do, it seems like a sound purchase. Buu’s Fury is generally agreed upon to be an excellent game, while GT Transformation is sort of in the middle. Some people liked it, others hated it.

I don't see why people hated it so much. It's a classic 2D-fighter game which never claimed to be LOG IV. On that basis, it's accomplished what it set out to do. Though I agree it's not the best game, it was very enjoyable.

To be honest neither do I. I found the game to be very fun and enjoyable. I would, however, also like Webfoot to go back and do DBGT in the classic LOG formula. I think that DBGT would fit the LOG formula very well. Heck, they should start making a couple of Dragon Ball LOGs as well and let's not forget a remake of LOG 1. Anyone up for a Ultimate Uncut Special Edition LOG 1? :P

I never actually got LOG 3 or Transformation, but I have played them both. This might be a worthy purchase.

I loved it. Hell, ironically, 3 seconds before I saw this topic, I wrote a Wikipedia entry on the game!
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

So, where is this game? I'd be very interested in seeing it.

Unfortunetly I cannot find it, a Google search brings up (1) another forum thread about the game, (2) a Budokai 2 review, and then (3) my web page. 8)

Umm...it was never online. The admin, Derarath gave out a few beta links to people, but otherwise, it was down the whole time.

This ain't Derarath by any chance, is it?

They only help you with RPGMaker or Gamemaker, MUGEN fans dont' get any help. I know I didn't.

Again, this isn't a thread for your plugging of said game. Here's your first formal board warning. Keep it on-topic, folks, or don't say anything at all.

True. Before they stated anything bout Transformation, I had huge thoughts about it in that LOG format. Then I saw the screens and went "WTF". Then I played. Like Dayspring said, it was pretty good, even though it suprised me. Gamespot, if I remember, rated it a full 7.6, which ties with their ratings of LOGII, making them the second best rated on Gamespot, behind Supersonic Warriors

Why Atari would combine these two games now suprises me. Both games, from the looks of it, are selling very well. At the best, I'd say they're trying to milk the franchise. Anyone want to contradict me in case I'm just rambling?

EDIT: They're milking, all right. I just found out that they're releasing another dual-set. DBZ: Taiketsu and Yu Yu Hakosho: Spirit Detective. >_<

Atari seems to be big on two-in-ones for the GBA lately. Really lets you know that they're not taking full advantage of their cartridges' abilities for their games, doesn't it? :P
