Dende's size?

At the beginning of the Buu saga (pre tournament) dende is tall, kind of like he was in GT. Near the end of buu saga when he is wondering around with Satan and watching Goku fight kid buu he is short like in Cell saga.... what is going on here???

Did piccolo teach him to increase his size or something......lol

Does anyone know why he changes sizes?

Yea, he was suppost to be tall from the Buu saga on being he aged. Later he is seen as a kid again. This wasn't Toei's fault it was actually Akira Toriyamas. Dende was accidentally drawn in the manga like that so Toei used it to. Hey it happens. The guy was under a lot of presure for this series...it actually happens a lot in Dragonball.

I guess it's just an animation porblem but I see where it gets annoying. It also seems like he grows a bit in the GT episodes.

Sorry about that.

Anyway, those images are utter crap but I think the point remains.

In the first image Dende has a thinner face as if he has aged (which was the purpose) while in hte second his pudgy (childish) deminor is back. This may or may not have been what you were originally refering to but I hope it adds some closur to the problem insted of the typical answers that are given to these type of inconsistencies. (I try to make my answers more interesting anyway but who knows what you guys think)

I think that first picture may be of Kami, He has that blue cape wich Kame only has.

Edit: Sorry, that is Dende. I actually went back and took a look at these episodes and here are some frontal pics...sorry there so bad, I don't know how to screen cap so I just took a pic. (The PrtSc button don't work for DVD's)

Nah, that's Dende. The glowing thing is Piccolo levitating I think. I believe this is from the "Great Saiyaman Saga" when Gohan is going to tell Piccolo about Goku coming back from the dead for a day.

Yeah, the butterflies touch Piccolo and die, then Dende revives them. Neat little scene.

It's funny because not only does his size change but what he is wearing as well. The taller one has the blue cape, the Kame crest, and no belt. The smaller one has a vest, no crest and a belt. So very odd.
