A spanish book of information about Dragon Ball, "Generación Dragon Ball", published in 2008, by Daniel Quesada and Jacob García,
there is a section talking about AF:

It says:

"Curiously, This drawing was sent and published in the number 92 (May 1999) of the magazine "Hobby Consolas", inside the section, "Teléfono rojo". The image was signed by someone called "David Montiel". It's the origin of all this in Spain? Probably, because it's impossible to find a previous version of the one which was published on this number"

Also, Daniel Quesada, one of the authors of this book, works in the magazine Hobby Consolas too.

Hahahaha, you are awesome guys!! So this is not actually Goku, that's so funny how most people were so obsessed with this picture as SSJ5 Goku and even Toyble did a manga and based Goku on this picture...... Damn, so ironic. 13 Years.
This mystery unveiling is really so much fun.
I must make myself some time to read the whole Derek's blog.

PS: I'm so excited about interview with this guy, who is actually ''author of AF'' if we can call it like that and what's his version or premise of the story.
