Stupid Question about "Mystic" Gohan

Alright, I have to know... why do people think Gotenks was stronger than Goku? Gotenks apparently could've beaten Super Buu, but Goku said he wasn't strong enough? But wasn't Goku facing Super Buu after he had absorbed everyone, theus he was facing a much tougher enemy?

If I'm not mistaken, Goku and Vegeta pulled the pods to everyone off of Buu so he went back to being normal Super Buu.

Yup, then they pulled Good Buy out of him and he reverted back to Kid Buu.

We can also discuss this using Buu's own point of view.

Fat Buu and Chibi Buu's point of view is irrelevant since one is child-like and the other only cares about violence; their awareness of other's strength differs, but are similar: Fat Buu can't sense ki and Chibi Buu just doesn't care.

On the other hand, Super Buu gives us some hints. He's not the smartest being around but he greatly improved on that after absorbing Piccolo and he does give some interesting statements (both before and after absorbing Piccolo):

1st - He is clearly aware of having been Fat Buu (as in, being the existence itself and not only having Fat's memories).

2nd - He can now sense ki and, supposedly, knows his and his opponents' strength.

3rd - After he absorbs Gohan he calls himself "The Strongest Majin".

4th - When Vegeta is saying that he will cut Fat Buu's pod, Super Buu tries to stop that and then states that "If you do that, I'll disappear".

The last point is, in my opinion, the most important one although being a bit hard to connect with the other points. Joining all four we can make some assumptions:

- He simply though that having Fat Buu yanked out would result in his disappearance only leaving Fat Buu as the only Majin alive.

or

- He was aware of him being originally Chibi Buu and thought he would revert to his old self and lose all conscience, thus saying "he" would disappear.

OR

- He was aware of him being originally Chibi Buu and thought he would revert to his old self and lose pratically all the additional strength he acquired when absorbing the different fighters (even if he would get a bit stronger than Super Buu as his base strength), thus being "The Strongest Majin" no more.

I hope I could make my point clearly. These are just my two cents so, feel free to comment.

That's the biggest and most obvious, in your face, impossible to miss clue there is. Super Buu3 knows about his previous forms, after all, he's been all of them. And he clearly states that he is the strongest.

4th - When Vegeta is saying that he will cut Fat Buu's pod, Super Buu tries to stop that and then states that "If you do that, I'll disappear".

By what's said and shown, I think he knew that if Fat Buu got pulled out he, as Super Buu, would be no more. He'd lose his intelligence, his ability to think, etc...
