Manga Paper Size/Format
Okay, its not abouth Dragonball, but i was hoping that someone knows the answer on this question?
On what kind of format does an manga drawer draws his comic? Is it on the size you buy the manga, or do they draw on an langer piece of paper and do they resize it when they scan it in the computer.
Thanks who can answer this (and i hope VegettoEX keeps this open until answered!)

Really? I always thought some of the small pictures were detailed. That's probably why.DBZ MAN wrote:Yes they draw on a bigger piece of paper. A2 or A1 size I think. Well most that I know of do anyway.
I draw mine on A4 paper, besides, I don't know how Toriyama did it, or any other mangaka either. I ain't really knowledged on the subject.

Re: Manga Paper Size/Format
I have edited the thread topic... please remember to not only type correctly in your posts (which is not being done), but also in the titles. It looks absolutely ridiculous with "manga format????" as a thread title. Please re-read the forum rules.kindertuin wrote:Okay, its not abouth Dragonball, but i was hoping that someone knows the answer on this question?

I highly doubt it, it's a Japan only release.gokutae wrote:Is viz ever gonna release the kanzenban edition manga anytime soon? The Tankobons are getting old, and it's about time we get it here.

But putting all that aside(in a attempt to keep things on topic), kindertuin and others interested in this subject might be interested in this site. It's far from complete, but does have some decent information (and er... about the only site I know of like this

If this thread does not head back towards its topic, I'm just going to lock it. Thanks!

More info than you want. But the idea is that the smaller number gives you bigger paper. In other words, Toriyama used pretty big paper.

(Sorry for my grammer VegettoEX, i am trying as hard as i can to write good)

The link doesn't say "what size" manga artists use, it details the subject well, but doesn't even mention the word "manga".Duo wrote:See the link in the post above yours.
