Seriously, he should be dead. Super Buu killed almost every last earthling (with the exception of Mr. Satan, Tenshinhan, and Chiaotzu, and quite possibly #17), and those who survived died when Kid Buu blew up Earth, right?
Later, when they wished for planet Earth and its people to be brought back, the bad guys weren't allowed to come back.
So how in hell does Pilaf appear in GT? It doesn't make any sense.

Yeah I agree. That and GT recycles a lot of ideas from the first DB.

Yeah, Pilaf wouldn't have the guts to kill, he's afraid of perverted things...Remember when he has Bulma within his grasp and he has to cover his ears because she thought that he'd give her a slurp-slurp, pat-pat, puff-puff, etc.

I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

He was going to kill Goku and the others, but he went Oozaru and burst out of his castle.

Gokutae, you either need to join MFG Forums or spend all your time there. You'd fit in much better with that crowd of DB fans.

That one's funny.

Perhaps it doesn't count if it's only ATTEMPTED evil. He doesn't really succeed with any of his evil plans.

The most he acomplished was burning off Goku's pants in the Baba saga.
Even I became a loser when I made one of these...

The most evil thing he's done was unleashing King Piccolo. But as many wannabe bad guys who make deals with the devil he got burned in the end.

Yeah. Because they don't give out awards for ATTEMPTED physics.

He he, is that a Simpsons quote?

Now everything I read from you will sound like Kelsey Grammar.

I'm not sure if he said physics, but it was something like
"Attempted murder! Now really, what is that?! They don't give an award for ATTEMPTED...", something. Maybe it WAS physics.

I think it was attempted chemistry. Not sure, but we're getting off topic now anyway.

It was a Simpsons reference, albeit paraphrased and changed to fit this topic better. The original quote is as follows:
=Attempted murder, now honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel Prize for attempted chemistry?
And now back to Pilaf... don't you think it was the least bit weird that he didn't show up at all during DBZ?

After getting shafted by Piccolo out of his 1/10 of the world, I think he just gave up and who knows whether or not he died of natural causes or was in the city Nappa wiped out?

Yeah, it would've been nice to see him in DBZ. I always got a laugh out of seeing him and his lovable band of idiots.
I don't think he died of natual causes or by Nappa, since that wouldn't have brought him back from Buu's attack on the planet. He wouldn't have died from it, so he wouldn't have been wished back and be in GT.
(I just noticed that saying Buu's sounds like booze.

Pilaf was always around trying to get to conquer the world, but when his plans finally started going into motion, Cell showed up so he waited a bit. The same happened with Buu so he gave up altogether. I too wish Toriyama threw in a random scene where this was said. Simply giving notes to Toei does jack if they don't make a filler scene out of them. As a result, we only know this info, as well as other tidbits like the fact that Saibamen were created by Saiyan scientists, from Daizenshuu 7.

Just maybe Pilaf wasn't as ruthless as everyone thought he was. Remember most of his evil attempts failed, and there was always a more evil villian than Pilaf. In the episode where Goku and Chi Chi try to find the Fire Bird, Pilaf acts all evil, threating to hurt Chi Chi. Goku already knew that Pilaf wasn't a threat, so he didn't worry. Chi Chi handled the situation on her own. Also if you noticed that sometimes Pilaf actually goofed around, instead of being all serious. I think he became a little less evil because of encountering Goku so many times. Remember when Goku is trying to collect the snow from the mountain, and Pilaf's gang shows up. Between the arguing with Goku, and firing missles, Goku starts to have fun with the snow by rolling it up and chasing it down the mountain. Pilaf is ticked, but he doesn't really attempt to seriously harm Goku.
When they wished all earthlings back except the bad guys, Pilaf wasn't really evil. So you could sort of see how Pilaf showed up in GT. I might be wrong, but it sounds possible. What do you guys think?

No Goku and ChiChi looking for the fire bird was filler. Filler=non-canon=didn't happen.

I rather dislike this tendencey to automatically lable filler material as "non-canon". The fire-bird might have been "filler", but that doesn't change the fact that it happened in the anime version of the story. As far as the anime is concerned; Goku met Pilaf just before marrying Chi-Chi, and never saw him agsin until the beginning of GT.

The one time he seriously tried to kill someone he may have been exaggerating out of anger. "It's a glass ceiling! You'll die of heat! Mwahaha!"
What kind of glass? Would it even give them a sunburn?
My guess is, since most souls go to Hell, that Pilaf was considered to be as bad as most Humans. Besides: he's a demon. How good can a demon inherently be? If Vegeta's considered good, then Pilaf is definitely good.
