Speaking of non-DBZ Funimation dubbed songs, this is definitely my favorite.

Still can't stop thinking of Gohan, Piccolo/Vegeta and Krillin singing when I hear this XP

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

Love that one too!

I always figured FUNimation didn't wanna put any more money into Kai after sales dropped. That, or perhaps they just got a little worried after the music fiasco?

I woulda liked some kinda of a DragonBall Z Kai soundtrack to be released here. Hell, they could probably still do it with the opening, closings and the few insert songs they did.

FUNimation is inconsistent, especially when it comes to Dragon Ball.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

It's very rare for dubbed songs to get an official release, unfortunately. Probably due to licensing issues...my guess is that, if the music were licensed for release, some of the profits would have to go back to the original artists.

Caitlin Glass said that apparently they aren't even allowed to credit the singers of the dubbed songs. Just like I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't credit the English voice actors to their specific roles a few years ago, I can't figure out why they can't credit the English singers. Even if they can't be "officially" credited, the singers are allowed to say, "yeah, that was me," and FUNimation has been known to confirm on their Facebook page who the singers of the many dubbed versions of "Dragon Soul" are. So what's the point? My best guess is that Toei (or whichever Japanese animation company it may be depending on the production-in-question) doesn't want people thinking that the English singers are the "official" singers for the songs. If that's the case, though, that's easily solved by just putting in the credits, "Original Version Vocals By: X," and "English-Dubbed Version Vocals By: Y."

Not that dubbed songs haven't been released before, of course...all Disney animated movies, when dubbed for the many other countries of the world, have dubbed songs, and they almost always get released on CD and digital download format. Also, I know a couple countries have CD/digital download releases of the dubbed versions of the early Pokemon soundtracks.

I always assumed that they didn't have the time to dub all the songs due to how quickly Nicktoons had the episodes pumped out. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Sabat figured they just couldn't be bothered to dub every song. As someone else pointed out, they are very inconsistent with anything Dragon Ball.

"Over saturation is easy. Just drag the slider to the right and there you are: instant interest. And certainly, the majority of the public likes saturated color images. In fact, if you want to quickly create a popular image, simply over saturate the colors and increase the contrast. While you may not achieve a sophisticated image, you will achieve an image that will please a less demanding audience." - Alain Briot

Plus, Sabat's very modest about his singing voice. They could've gotten Vegeta a good singing voice.
