How powerful did Yamcha, Ten, Chaozu, and Krillin get?
I was wondering how strong these four are for a while.

Son Goku Saga - Saiyan Saga: Tenshinhan > Kuririn > Yamcha > Chaozu
Tenshinhan was among the main contenders (Goku, Piccolo etc.) by this point, and Kuririn was not-too-far from that. Yamcha was decemt before the others came into the scene and recesses by that time. Chaozu hardly did anything but cheat for Tenshinhan during the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai.
Namek - Cell Games Saga: Kuririn > Tenshinhan > Yamcha > Chaozu
Yamcha, and Chaozu are totally useless by this point. Kuririn, and Tenshinhan slowly recess by this point but still capable of being assistence.
Afterlife Tournament - Majin Buu Saga: Tenshinhan > Kuririn > Yamcha > Chaozu
They were all (almost) completely useless by this point. The villain view them as no threat at all.
But then again, that's just me.

Not powerful enough to matter.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

^True. Not even enough to stall opponents, so Vegeta took on mantle of the main Worf of the series
My estimation of power levels Tenshinhan's, Yamcha's and Chiaotzu's after King Kai's training:
(at best)
Tenshinhan: 36.600
Yamcha: 29.600
Chiaotzu: 12.200
I feel I could be kind of too generous :p

Krillin growing in power than by 1000 times sound farfetch'd, since it would mean that he grew in power at much, much faster rate than Piccolo who received a superior training (as he trained with Gohan and SSJ Goku), compared to Krillin who merely trained on his own with some "guidance" from Master Roshi (him sleeping/watching porn while Krillin trains) :p
Re: How powerful did Yamcha, Ten, Chaozu, and Krillin get?
Yamcha: 400,000,000
Kuririn: 7500,000,000
Tenshinhan: 90,000,000,000
Videl: 80,000,000
Kuririn: 7500,000,000

I doubt Videl even crosses the hundreds territory much less the millions since all she had to train with her was her weak-ass father Mr. Satan.Fox666 wrote:Videl: 80,000,000
What about Chaozu?

Re: How powerful did Yamcha, Ten, Chaozu, and Krillin get?
Saiga probably said it best. I do think the humans managed to increase in power a fair amount, but without the benefits of gravity training, near-death boosts abuse or transformations, they can only go so far. I'd say Yamcha and Krillin peaked in the Android Arc, with Krillin maybe around 500,000. By the Buu Arc, I think Tien would've surpassed Krillin, but even still, I wouldn't put him anywhere near 1,000,000.
Re: How powerful did Yamcha, Ten, Chaozu, and Krillin get?
Guys who could barely reach hundreds and then thousands under Kami go to high millions? Seems legit.
I myself have trouble with even Tenshinhan surpassing Kuririn's 25,000 or 35,000 (whichever was the power he got from the Elder). If he did, then that's because he's actually an alien.

I think power levels in general for each given season is more plot based/character relation rather than actually following logical interpretation. For example before they fought the saiberman, where would you have theoretically have put the humans power levels, using son goku as a measuring stick, & factoring the year goku trained with kami/popo.CaptainKatsura wrote:Krillin growing in power than by 1000 times sound farfetch'd, since it would mean that he grew in power at much, much faster rate than Piccolo who received a superior training (as he trained with Gohan and SSJ Goku), compared to Krillin who merely trained on his own with some "guidance" from Master Roshi (him sleeping/watching porn while Krillin trains) :p
The only exception is Buu arc when certain characters are said to not train.

You say barely like if they were all between 1000-1100. When all were well over the 1300+ mark. People downplay humans to much.hleV wrote:Guys who could barely reach hundreds and then thousands under Kami go to high millions? Seems legit.

Oh my mistake. But in retrospect when you compare their progress in 1 year compared to goku in 4 years to defeat piccolo it just shows the entire thing seems to revolve around a plot base rather than logical reasoning.hleV wrote:No, I said thousands.shonenhikada wrote: You say barely like if they were all between 1000-1100. Well, I think that Kuririn ended up surpassing Tenshinhan due to the Great Elder awakening his dormant power, which got him up to 75k, but only by the Cell arc. I think that Tenshinhan, around the same time, reached 65k, with Yamcha following behind at 45k. And no-one cares about Chaozu.

I'll put Yamcha at 50 K. But overall this seems about right for the power levels in the namek arc.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Well, I think that Kuririn ended up surpassing Tenshinhan due to the Great Elder awakening his dormant power, which got him up to 75k, but only by the Cell arc. Re: How powerful did Yamcha, Ten, Chaozu, and Krillin get?
I'd give them Vegeta's level when he fought Frieza at best. Not enough to contend with Frieza, but fairly strong.
I'd rate them like this; Tien>Yamcha>Krillin>>>>>Chiaotzu. When it comes to actual numbers; I have no idea. I dunno how to calculate one's power level, and they're so radically different depending on who you ask.
And yeah, I wouldn't even rate Videl at 10. She's somewhere above 5 because she's clearly stronger than the Farmer, but she isn't anywhere close to Goku at the beginning, so that puts her below 10.

Like already mentioned, "not strong enough to matter." In the Androids arc, they helped out by being scouts, errand-runners, and ki-beacons. In the Boo arc, they... uh... Kuririn did more errand-running.
In terms of powar levul numbahs, I typically place them all topping out around the 100,000 mark. Kuririn and Tenshinhan above it (Kuririn in the lead pushing 150k), Yamcha somewhat below it. And Chaozu is somewhere in 'who cares' land.
I'd be genuinely surprised if any official source placed them at one million or above.

What would you say if Toriyama released a book placing them in double digit millions ?Kaboom wrote:Like already mentioned, "not strong enough to matter." It depends on whether you want to accept information released at a later date -- by the original author himself or anyone else -- as confirmation or expansion upon what was already presented in the original work. Even then you can slice it up even further based on the wording of this supposed description. Would he be explaining, "Yes, when I wrote it at that exact point in time, here's what I was thinking and how I meant it to be conveyed"... or would it be, "I think this is maybe the right way to think about it"... ?shonenhikada wrote:What would you say if Toriyama released a book placing them in double digit millions ?
You can either accept it or not. Plenty of people would go both ways.
