A little goof on the website
In the Episode Guide, Dragon Ball section, the Wedding Dress Arc has the same description as the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai Arc.

I also noticed on the "My Dragon Box Isn't Perfect?!" feature, the comparison for episode 243's NEP isn't there.

On the Forum Rules page, there seems to be an extra "the" under Rule #7.

That's just Google picking up random text from the pages and presenting what it thinks is most relevant to its customer. Clearly the combination of the site name, the forum itself, and the podcast is what people find the most valuable

Reading up on the Newbie Guide and I saw these:

Now all that's missing is a setion on Battle of Gods. :p
Didn't the original broadcast for some episodes have shortened next episode previews to account for upcoming movies/specials?Additionally, the use of the original TV masters assured that the episodes would be presented exactly as they had aired on Fuji TV, so there would be none of the mix-ups with regards to opening and closing animations, previews, and such that have occurred in overseas releases of Toei productions.
Redundantly redundant!Dragon Ball Kai would reunite the majority of the original voice cast was being reunited

Re: A little goof on the website
Various parts of GT's production guide say "Dragon Ball Z" instead of "Dragon Ball GT". I'm not sure why I was pouring through those pages the other day, but I was.

Re: A little goof on the website
Hope this doesn't come across as nitpicking, but I was flipping through the 'Theme Guide' just now, and caught this, on the Eyecatches in the Kai section.
Not a big deal obviously, but since I noticed it, I thought I'd point it out.
Since that only lasted for one episode apparently, it should be 'Episode', not 'Episodes'. The same typo occurs directly after that for Episode 65, then again on Episode 69, 72, 73, 74, 75, 83, and finally 98.Sixteenth Animation (Episodes 64)
Part A: Goku fires a Kamehameha that splits the screen diagonally to show Artificial Human No. 16 on one side and Goku laying sick in bed on the other side.
Part B: Goku throws a Genki-Dama that splits the screen diagonally to show Artificial Humans No. 17 and 18, as they prepare to start their game to find and kill the sick Goku.
Not a big deal obviously, but since I noticed it, I thought I'd point it out.

Re: A little goof on the website
Manga chapter 18 was listed with the same title as chapter 17, so I fixed it.
Eventually, I need to get that collection of author comments from Jump to add to each chapter page... I hear Peking Duck (who owns all the Jump issues with the series) put together an archive of them, so maybe he can help me out.

Every time I read this I almost jizz a little bit just thinking of all the possible little snippets of info that might be hidden in those mags. Or maybe there's nothing... But one can hope.SaiyaJedi wrote:I hear Peking Duck (who owns all the Jump issues with the series)(...)
Anyway, one thing that bugs me is that there's no mention of GT's TV Special eyecatches on that list. I know they were just bits from the actual special but maybe you should just for the sake of completion.

Re: A little goof on the website
Lots of little things, I'm sure, like various contests, details on merchandise, then-upcoming film things, and such. But what really interests me these days is what the author had to say in his own words.DNA wrote:Every time I read this I almost jizz a little bit just thinking of all the possible little snippets of info that might be hidden in those mags. So I'm hoping to lay my hands on this beauty soon. (Note: Link is work-safe, but other pages on the site may not be.) Peking Duck took all of Toriyama's comments from the Jump table of contents over the course of the series, and made a dōjinshi (the book-book kind, not the comic-book kind) out of them. Add this to his tankōbon introductions, his various and sundry interviews and other book intros, and other odds and ends, just add water, and...profit?
And yes, I know Toriyama claimed in volume 27 that his editor-at-the-time, Yū Kondō, wrote "more than half" of them. They still seem to represent his mental state and the happenings in his life fairly well.

Re: A little goof on the website
Peking Duck has all those comments up on Twitter, and I was using that to translate them, though I've fallen behind...

Well here's what his collection looks like (blog post):DNA wrote:Every time I read this I almost jizz a little bit just thinking of all the possible little snippets of info that might be hidden in those mags. And speaking of all the WJ issues, did we ever find out if the original serialization had title pages for chapters 13 and 18, the ones missing in the Kanzenban? Also curious if the original printing of chapter 229 was titled "Dagon Ball".

The image link doesn't work though, and we should get back to mistakes and goofs on the website.

Re: A little goof on the website
Having just visited Peking Duck's house and checked Jump itself, I happen to know the answer:SSj_Rambo wrote:And speaking of all the WJ issues, did we ever find out if the original serialization had title pages for chapters 13 and 18, the ones missing in the Kanzenban? The chapter title pages for chapters 13 and 18 were used in tankōbon volume 2 as the title pages for chapter 12 and 19 instead. The real chapter title page for chapter 19 was used as the cover for tankōbon volume 2, while the title page for chapter 12 was never reprinted. (The reason for this is probably because the actual title page had only a small illustration as a good bit of the page was taken up by the results of a vote for the most popular title page illustration thus far; the one for chapter 3 won.) Unfortunately, both of these changes carried over to kanzenban volumes 1 and 2, and since the volume covers were different as well, the actual title page for chapter 19 ended up being omitted completely.
