Would any of you consider this to be a sequel to Raging Blast 2?

Pros:
- Title is Ultimate Blast
- Graphics look similar
- Developer team's Spike
- Gameplay is Raging Blast-ish with some 2D and QTE (could be more of a con than pro)
- A new character mode Hero
- Dragon Ball Z Story Mode is back
- More Dragon Ball cutscenes (30 mins)
- Great music (except there's no Kikuchi synthesized soundtrack)
- Japanese audio should be the same as in Raging Blast 2, however, the English dub has some audio tracks mixes ups' issues.

I've finished Raging Blast 2 so now I was just thinking about the positive points of this game.

Having only a bunch of 40-50 character isn't really that big of a deal, 40-50 characters to play with is plenty for me.

Still, I'll wait for another price drop from Zavvi so once they've decreased to £9.95 I'll definitely buy it.

Solely due to the different style of gameplay, ain't it?

Ultimate Blast isn't too much of a fighting game but neither is Raging Blast series, it's true that the characters battle, though, for a Beat 'em Up genre title it leaves a lot to be desire.

To relive the series' Super Attacks and Ultimate Attacks then Raging Blast 2 is an excellent choice to pick up and play (watch). Though, it kinda sucks that Goku SSJ3 Ultimate Attack isn't "Fist of the Dragon". :|

No Raging Blast 3 instead Burst Limit 2, puriiz, Namco Bandai. ^_^

I have a question. On Hero Mode, when completing a sparing set with a master (e.x. Yamcha), it says that his Master Skill is available. Where is this available, and how do I select it?

Amazon.co.uk is now sellin' DRAGON BALL ULTIMATE TENKAICHI for £14.93 + £2.03, still not cheaper than Zavvi/TheHut, but certainly better than before which was £20+.

It is available by just selecting it as a master.
Select it and let it be.
When you get exp bonuses after a fight,
it will work as if you had it all equiped in your own table of skills.

Now question: Is there any way to avoid/block ki blasts after you receive some?
One more: When is the right time or how much boost you need to deliver a strong attack
so that it won't get pierced by fast attacks in meele range ....

I wouldn't know about your second question cause it's not really my fighting style.

However, to answer your first question: not that I know of. Each and everytime I've received some Ki blasts, I've tried to get out of the way, teleport and such... But it seems that the only thing left to do is prepare for the upcoming janken choice, because - of course - your opponent won't stop combo-blasting you until it's janken time !

If you want to see the good side of things: it gives you extra time to watch what your current status and the opponent's current status are like, and thus what janken choice he is more likely to do when the choice comes up in the next three seconds, as well as the amount of risk you can afford in your choice (needless to say, if you don't have much Ki to protect yourself, you'd better choose to block attacks giving him access to special moves - but if you have a decent amount of Ki, you can really try to guess his janken choice with that extra time as an upside).

I've played practically through all of Ultimate Tenkaichi and only have 88% of the videos according to the game. Do I have to get all the trophies or something to get the last 22%, so something?

I am not sure about the videos,
actually I think playing through the story mode is a little disappointing..
Saiyajin arc and Freeza arc has cool videos,
but I almost finished Androids and Cell arc and there is no videos at all.

I took my time playing this game, Hero mode before story mode actually.
And I got tired of Hero mode because there is nothing to do on the world map really !!
Budokai 3 was way better, trying to find skills, visiting friends, trying to break the story,
getting zeni etc..

When it comes to story mode, it is boring all the same. There is nothing to do on the map !!
Extra fights are all saibaiman, it is boring ! No trainning time. You start near the spot.
You can collect the dragon ball or..... fight to advance the story. It´s just lame.

The fights are all interrupted everytime. Most of the whole game you should only
do a chain, the fight is cut again, and you see an ultimate or a blast that was not
activated either by you or the comp... Come on, the cutscenes aren´t as good as
Burst Limit or Budokai 1.. There is nothing to do on this game!

There is lots and lots of texts to explain the story,
but not even pictures in the backgrounds like Budokai 3.

The cast is reaaally wierd. There is not only characters that are missing but forms
as well! Adult Gohan SSJ ?? Mirai Trunks USSJ?? Come on !
It is getting hard to play this game as time passes !
I think ... I am quite coming back to B3 again !

I know I shouldn't bump a thread this old, but I've had a question that's been bugging me and forgot to post it until now.
Is it possible at all to get a perfect in this game? I've seen gameplay of this game and it seems like it is literally impossible to get a perfect in this game. The gameplay is random with it's rock-paper-scissors gameplay, but to not be able to get a perfect just seems dumb.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

It's easy. I don't play any more, but I used to get plenty of perfects against the computer.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

So, I have a problem with the Dragon Balls. Is there any way to collect them other than finding them around & from the Tournaments? I'm on the final hunt, and only 3 remain...

The computer follows a certain pattern depending on the character, always keep their Ki gauge down, and keep your Spirit Gauge up for reserves.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I played this game for the first time over the late summer. It...was.. an experience? All I could really say was it was easy as shit and really boring. I was pretty disappointed with the customization, there was barely any options. I was expecting maybe Saints Row quality CC but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
