Not ANOTHER translation request! Say it isn't freakin' so!!
I've been going through Daizenshu 3 (TV Animation Part 1), and on the pages that cover the OP animations, it describes the different poses that the characters make during the sequence as a "kime pose". Kime is Base II of kimeru, which means "to decide", or other various things depending on the context, but for the life of me I can't come up with a decent English translation ("Deciding pose"? What the hey!). So out of sheer curiosity, any suggestions?

BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

I thought about that one, but since I don't know what the poses are that the Daizenshu refers to (I haven't seen the second animation of Makafushigi Adventure), I wouldn't know if they're actually *victory* poses. I would guess they're supposed to be stylish poses (I kinda wonder if that would be a good translation?), but... then again... "kimeru" is just a different form of "kimatta", which is what the characters sometimes say when they think Goku etc. has won a battle - so maybe "victory pose" isn't too far off the mark.

Maybe it really is just a "thinking pose", like Pooh

Good one
Maybe I can get away with just saying "Kime Pose", since come to think of it, this isn't the first time I've heard that phrase. It must be a common term in Japan (I typed "Kime pose" into a search engine and got someone's Japanese homepage... and below their pictures (of them giving the traditional Japanese peace-sign) the caption said "Kime pose"...

I still like my "think think think" explanation.kenisu3000 wrote:Yep, that's the one. I'm not sure what they call it... perhaps "kime pose" (just a hunch)?Tenka-Ichi wrote:You mean the "V" for victory.kenisu3000 wrote:(of them giving the traditional Japanese peace-sign)
